School is a scam and nothing has changed with new ownership.

I attended this school from 2011-**** for a degree in health information technology. My degree is useful for a job that makes $10 an hour and that's about it.

My current job, not in the degree field, pays me 2 1/2 times that amount. I was told that I would be making close to 45k a year and that there would be many jobs to apply to. None of the information was true. The credits don't transfer any where else.

I wanted to go back to school for a nursing degree and mistakenly went back to this school because my all of my medical credits are non-transferable. I was readmitted in 2015 and only lasted 2 semesters before I realized that I was not really getting any sort of education. Nothing was ever organized, or correct and the classes would always be waiting on something to come in for an assignment. We never had any supplies for the biology labs and everything seemed very second rate and not worth the gratuitous amount of money I was being charged to go there.

When I went into my first clinical situation, I realized how unprepared the classes made me for this experience. The students and the some of the teachers and heads of departments were always unprepared and took a very unprofessional approach to teaching. I felt like I was in middle school most of the time and that I was one of the few who really wanted to learn nursing practices. Please, don't give this school any money and hopefully they will be out of business soon and won't waste anyone else's time or money.

The school was bought by new owners but from what I've heard, the same problems are there.

Don't be bullied and forced into this school. They will tell you anything and everything you need to hear to sign that paper so that they can get your money and any grants from the government.

Millions in advertising, deceptive marketing practices, unqualified teachers and counsolers, lies, lies, lies. Out $25,000 in loans for a worthless Associates degree that no college will accept credits for and no employer will recognize.

The administration lied about their accrediation which is non-existant and collected an additional $125.00 per month from all students for as they say was going towards their college loans but, was going in their pockets. Why has Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is aware of numerous complaints, looked the other way?

They preyed on working class students who wanted to improve their lives and start careers. Instead now we have unbelievable student loans and a worthless piece of paper that they consider a degree.

For-Profit Colleges

Don't do it, find another college. This is a for profit college that will max out your student loans before you finish your degree, leaving you with a large bill from the school.

I have over 60k in student loans and no degree. It's not like I'm the only one, there are many students this school has taken advantage of. The school has fees and additional cost for each class and they are not for a benefit like a bookstore, a cafeteria, a parking permit, it is just because they can charge you more money on your student loan by calling them fees. Sometimes they call them lab fees but its for a class that does not require any additional equipment.

They will hold your transcripts and degree hostage. They are not properly accredited and the college survives off of lies.

Please find another school. Friends don't let Friends go to Southwest Florida College.

Scam of a lifetime. Everything the original poster states is absolute fact.

The college "leadership" amounted to nothing more than organized crime and certain program directors were equally disgraceful.

The college is now changing hands and being rebranded New name, but likely the same criminals extorting your cash and maxing out your student loans to prohibit any future education. There is a special place in *** reserved for the attorney and his wife who operated this scam along with the program directors, admissions personnel, financial aid personnel, etc., who lied for a living.
