As I sit here at my desk writing this email, I hear drips of water into aluminum pans coming in from 2 of the windows. Also, there is water on the top of the inside tracks on 5 of the windows. I have been extremely patient dealing with the water leakage but I am at the point of being extremely angry. Only a gallon of water has come in so far. Lamar, when you met with my contractor for the windows, why were replacement type windows recommended instead of new construction? My contractor says this is what you recommended. I am asking for all the windows to be REPLACED or for a FULL REFUND. I believe there are deficiencies in both the windows and the installation. Because the wrong windows were installed is the biggest error. The installation had faults because of lack of knowledge of how to install these types of windows. No instructions or some simple list of "Attn: contractors, these windows require special installation." Chea and Lamar came over and removed 2 windows and found nothing wrong that was apparent. I then had to pay another contractor to come thru and re-caulk which still did not help with the water intrusion. Chea contacted Beth and Beth sent to manufacturing reps down on Dec. 3rd and they were at my house on Dec. 4th at 8am. Tim and Tim were both extremely courteous and professional. They did find several issues regarding the windows. They removed each window, inspected, drill additional holes and caulked the outside underneath the trim between each window. This, apparently, was not done by the contractor. The second big issue was that the contractor did not leave the weeping holes exposed on the transom windows. He came by the next day and removed trim, installed metal. caulked and now the holes are exposed. He also caulked the top of the windows where the vinyl header meets the windows. I am miffed at the amount of issues that these windows have created. Another issue is the my hardwood flooring is rippling due to much of this additional water intrusion. I am at a loss of "what makes sense" anymore. Why is there still water leakage and WHY is there still water on the top of the INSIDE TRACKS? There seems to be deficiencies that can not be explained or corrected. Lamar, what can be done? I tried to get one of your contractors to come thru and re-install but your company would not do it and they just suggested that I contact one of your installers which I did and he said he was too busy. One other thing, when I bought the last set of windows at my previous address, Southern Vinyl was making their own windows. This was not disclosed to me that the windows you were selling were being outsourced to Vinlymax. Southern Vinyl has a good reputation and I hope they stand behind their BBB rating
