Leon Contacted me and apologized for the situation.. He cleared everything up and returned our deposit.
I have to say he is a stand up guy and may of the things said on the review were out of my anger. I believe Leon is a man of his word and can be trusted.
I would ask a bunch of questions before you give a deposit. THANK YOU LEON

LEON CORRECTED THE SITUATION AND RETURNED MY DEPOSIT IN FULL. PLEASE UNDERSTAND I ORIGINALLY GAVE MY STATEMENT OUT OF ANGER.
LEON IS NOT A SCAM ARTIST. HE CAN BE TRUSTED. IT DOESN'T HURT TO ASK A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU GIVE A DEPOSIT, I'M SURE LEON WOULD AGREE..

Most consulting companies charge a monthly retainer fee for their services. Southern Gym Supply's retainer is a one time fee of $1000 that is not refundable but is credited to a client's final purchase of gym equipment.
The retainer fee is paid up front and clearly explained when new clients sign an agreement. In no way is it a hidden fee. It's how Southern Gym Supply gets paid for their services. They do not manufacture their own equipment.
They are consultants.If you ask Southern Gym Supply for a copy of their agreement, the non-refundable deposit of $1000 is clearly stated in multiple locations on the document - including the signature page. The $1000 is also paid when the agreement is signed. It's how the relationship starts.For this particular client, that one time fee of $1000 covered travel expenses to their future place of business, hotel stay, consulting services and quoting fees.
Unfortunately this client was not able to qualify for the amount of money they needed to borrow to start their business.When the financing company (which is not Southern Gym Supply, they are only consultants) would not qualify this person for a loan, they were understandably frustrated. Unfortunately they are now taking out their frustration on Southern Gym Supply.
