AI Highlights
  • - 8-9 gallons pool acid damaged equipment and Diamond Brit finish; replaced at homeowner's expense.
  • - Manufacturer won't fix it; warranty is ineffective.

Southern Grout & Mortars recommended putting 8 to 9 gallons of pool acid into a newly refinished pool to remove all blemishes. The end results was the destruction of my Pool Motor, Pump, 2 Filters, Light Ring, breakdown of leak patches, to be determined Pool Heater and last the Diamond Brit finish.

All these items were replaced at homeowners expense. After 10 months of back & forth Manufacturer will not fix problem, even thought manufacture's rep admits what the acid could have done.

As of this report I am still finding the Diamond Brit finish in my pool filter and when the pool is brushed the finish still is coming off. There 10 year warrantee is a joke and there rep will try to discredit your claim at every chance he can get.

Loss:
$5000
Cons:
  • Horrible customer service

Preferred solution: Pay for my equipment replacement and deliver 38 bags of a different product you manufature
