Charging Money for lack of service
- - The site loses data and won't save drafts.
- - Draft copies are useless without data.
- - They charge money, can't access distribute page, and want to raise prices.
Their website is constantly losing data, not allowing me to save it, making copies of drafts that are useless without said data, charging me money but not letting me get to the distribute page, etc. Total waste of man hours here.
And these people want to raise their prices.
They take months to respond in any way whatsoever. GTFO.

- - Originally they took 80% revenue share with no monthly fees.
- - Now they charge $1 per track for automated claiming; denied if material isn’t suitable.
Last time I checked, I remember this company offering a service where they would take 80% of the revenue, but not charge monthly fees like many other digital aggregators. I have used this company for a few years now, and they have moved onto charging an additional $1 per track for "automated claiming", except that they will then deny me the privilege of said "automated claiming" because the material isn't poppy enough for them, and then also deny me a refund for services that I paid for and did not get.
As a result, other digital aggregators might be preferred because you can actually get your stuff published with facebook, instagram, tiktok, and so forth.
Here, Soundrop limits your reach, scrutinizes your cover art when you make deliberately layered images for being "low quality" collages with analog source material and use layering for an effect.
Most importantly, you now pay for "automated claiming", but they take MONTHS to actually publish your work, regardless of the release date.
Currently, I have a release on my label that was submitted in July, still yet to be published. I have another release that was denied because of the use of public domain samples. Many of my releases don't qualify for "automated claiming" because they are experimental or ambient and thusly get lumped into some "yoga meditation" category that doesn't allow our work to be streamed on many platforms.
It is a scam. They basically take all of your money and run.
