Upset patient

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I received a call from Sonora Regional Hospital cancelling an appt. With my primary gynecologist 2 weeks before my appointment stating shes not available on Wednesdays and has no future appointments available until she retires!!!

I have had this appointment schedule for months and they just now contact me, and tell me they can give me a referral for another doctor!! Sarah Grimes has been my doctor for the last 12 years and this is completely unacceptable how this hospital has handled this situation!!!!

I am extremely upset as I have some health concerns I was looking forward to discussing with her at my next appointment!!!! Ill take this complaint to the next level for sure!!!!!

JUST DON'T GO THERE!!

Nobody in their right mind would go to this hospital! Just go right by and head to Modesto, Merced or San Andreas.

There's a shortage of doctors in CA so the docs at AH know that they can do whatever they want, be incredibly incompetent, and not be held accountable. Adventist Health ignores massive number of complaints from patients. Local Adventist Health is simply a hedge fund for the Adventist Church. Employee insiders have warned me about unsanitary conditions (sewer backed up into operating room) and general lack of cleanliness.

HIPAA violations are abundant.

Incompetent, rude, inconsiderate staff at all levels. church

Don't come to this ER if you want to live!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was given two medication errors by the same doctor (Dr. Blake Cleveland) if you get him I wish you the best, he is very unprofessional, if you are in pain prepare to be IN PAIN until you are operated on or released, this hospital is very unclean as they have 16 and 17 year olds in high school cleaning the rooms missing the corners and blood will constantly be on the floor and walls.

The nurses are not discreet nor are the doctors, I can tell you what everyone around me took for their prescriptions, what their symptoms are, and what meds are being prescribed. They need to learn DISCRETION. It's against the law.

I will be filing a complaint with the state board, this hospital has had so many complaints - GO TO MODESTO UNLESS IT IS A 911 EMERGENCY. THIS HOSPITAL IS CRAP.

Uncovered automated labs, no pre notification by hospital

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Had severe diarrhea due to 2 rounds of antibiotics, was vomiting so went to ER. They took blood and gave me an IV to hydrate, but I could not produce a stool ample so I had to go back to lab next day with stool sample.

The lab did not receive any orders from ER so I had to wait around for that. The lab was to determine if I had C Diff, I am curious what all the charges are for since only one of the charges directly diagnoses C Diff DNA. Turns out the lab uses automated reading, no Dr interprets yet I am being charged under a doctors name to the tune of $923.88. My ins informed me they do no cover "automated" labs even though it is within my network.

How on earth can I be charged so much if a machine is the one that produced the readout and why was I not notified that many insurances do not cover automated labs?? Is this how you pay for your new addition across the street?

Not my first unfavorable experience with this place. Mark Twain next time.

Test gone wrong

I had a spinal tap in July of 2016. I could tell the nurses were confused as to what test needed to be run on my spinal fluid.

I even offered what the doctor wrote up for me. But they didn't want to see it. When I went to get the results months later she never received the results. Herself, he nurse and myself all called to get the results sent to her.

She the realized the hospital ran the wrong test. So then I had to have the test done, not there though. I called to file a complaint, but nothing has happened yet. I have called back several times, but I am just told it's in review.

I don't think they plan on doing anything about it.

I am ready to get a lawyer to resolve this. On top of all that I had a spinal headache for two weeks after.

Sonora Regional Hospital - Some weeks ago I requested a copy of complete billing from billing manager for my surgery and stay 2/1-2/2016. I have not received it to date, BUT I have received the Summary from MEDICARE for these dates.

So, it has been processed - they just blew me off. This is my Patient's Right. Now I will have to stay on top of them.

Bring Your Own Food if staying

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Recently, I spent two days in Hospital (Feb 1 and 2).

Prior to surgery I informed just about everyone involved in my care that the only meat I can eat is chicken. It was confirmed to me that this would be carried out by the kitchen.

I was especially alert since during my previous stay two years ago I gave exact same request and it was ignored.

During my recent stay I was served a large piece of some kind of beef for lunch. I asked that it be taken back and be given other protein - which turned out to be mac with powered cheese;which part was the protein? uneaten of course; dessert of cherries with granola and most likely a dollop of yogurt - I tasted it and my teeth were screaming from the amount of sugar - in the cherries, in the granola and in the yogurt.

Additionally, the mini chicken pot pie was so salty, again inedible. Breakfast consisted of Special K with sugar, a Costco type muffin with sugar and fruit compote with sugar.

Who is your staff dietitian and where is the quality and nutrition necessary for healing?

If it were not for the nurses providing egg salad sandwiches I would have eaten NOTHING.

I went in for a toothache my blood pressure was high cus I was nervous and the doctor called me a tweeker. Like 2 years ago they said the same thing drug tested me and nothing.

I find it very rude to label someone because of there weight. Im small luke 105lbs but so is grandma who I about the same weight mu dad who is not even 130lbs it's just how I'm built. The doctor was making rude comments and I will never go back.

Instead of helping me they embaressed me. Oh yea also calling me a tweaker in front of lots of people is unprofessional and I would defidently not go there.

Nursing Assistant Lack of Care

I had back surgery 7/16/14 - I can say during my stay in Sonora Reg. the two CNA's encountered were basically useless.

I asked to use the mobile toilet, since there was no TP I had to ask for it, CNA reply to me, "you are too fast for me". What does this mean exactly? I also asked for a handiwipe. She replied rather curtly, "didn't anyone tell you where they are" (out of reach).

Next, the phone was ringing and ringing as she came in the room and said to me "your phone is ringing answer it" i said I cannot reach it. Later, I asked to let the kitchen know that I do not want any meat with my breakfast, the following morning. she confirmed that she would take care of it. There was a huge piece of ham on my breakfast plate next morning.

I asked the nurse if she could find me something to eat - she hunted down an egg salad sandwhich from another floor. I asked CNA if i could brush my teeth in the bathroom; there were no cups or kidney shaped vessels for rinsing, I asked her what i should do w/o cup, she said cup your hands and fill with water. I said, I'll have to bend over and i'm not supposed to do that - she replied, "it's okay this time".

CNA would not get me cup. It was BACK SURGERY!

ATTEMPTING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

why is one person answering the phones for 3 departments and then must transfer your call???

No direct line FOR INFUSION CENTER - what's up with that?

The level of non service is UNPROFESSIONAL - How about the slogans I see throughout the hospital about "our commitment to patient care" - doesn't it begin with trying to make an appointment?? just a bunch of bluster,

why is NO ONE answering the phone at the Infusion Center?

this site advises me that I must write at least 100 words, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,

COMEDY OF ERRORS

I entered the hospital today, the volunteer at information asked for my name and where was I headed. when I told her she said I was not on the list.

She advised I walk over to registration. I explained to the staff person that I was not on the list, and the Eco Room 911, did have me on their appointment schedule. She pulled up my info. and said that I was not on the registration list, she stated usually people are preregistered (over the phone) she also said that she noticed a note that someone had said they tried to contact me but I was not available - I never received a message regarding preregistering.

I searched my phone log/msg and nada, so... Further the woman asked me if I had had a previous appointment which was rescheduled? I said yes, I was contacted by phone about 2 weeks ago, she replied, well someone on this end forgot to transfer your appointment - this is why you are not on the LIST. If staff carelessness occurs at the get-go what awaits me when I reach my destination?

Careless staff reflects on the entire hospital.

This is not the first time it has happened to me. It's an omen of things to come.

Sonora Regional Medical Center/Hospital,sonora california

I would NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone. They do NOT know how to treat dialysis patients.

Dr. Uslander stood by and watched a nurse strap an arm with a fistula in it and barely missing it to draw blood and ended up causing damage to it. I am Pist as when I lashed out at them they threw there attitude to me and told me they know how to do there job and from there on they refused to give my husband good care. If I had not of been there then it would have been far worse.

NO one there cares about the patients and Dr. Uslander didn't even examine my husband properly and missed stuff with him. He didn't even care that this *** of a nurse damaged his fistula. Only thing the nurses are good at is sitting at the nurses station giving others dirty looks and ignoring others who need help.

They also gave him a med that was bad for him and when I asked the nurse who gave it, she said she didn't know if it was safe or if it was ok to have given it to him. REALLY? found out it wasn't! Again Dr.

Uslander didn't care! In one month he has had 2 procedures to fix the damage and a third small one so he could get dialysis and still having problems. Watch the Radiology as well as Dr. V who is a head of the directors told me that it is not there responsibility to report why you are in pain.

It is the doctors responsibility to call them and ask the right questions to get the report amended!..You want to die or become more damaged or sick, just go to that hospital which is the only one in Sonora California. They don't know how to treat people.

Another problem is patients walking out is because the nurses have there backs turned and are to busy bull s**ting instead of checking on the patients to make sure they are ok. The law suits that fly thru there and complaints are amazing as I am not the only one!
