Songmics

I originally bought a Vasagle corner ladder from Hamazon. Songmics is the parent company for Vasagle.

When we received the package from Hamazon, we could immediately tell it was a return. I decided to open the box to check the contents and everything seemed to be in order. It wasn't until we were at the end of putting it together that we noticed that it had a defect. The defect was at the top which made it more noticeable.

Since the ladder was sold through Hamazon we went to them first and asked them for a discount for the defective item since we had already put it together. They said the most they could do is 20%. I said absolutely not. So I decided to go through Vasagle to let them know what Hamazon was doing and if they could help me.

I sent a lot of pictures and the order number. The first email from Songmics I received asked for a screenshot of my order or the link to the page, keep in mind the first email I received from them showed my pictures, so I knew they had seen them. Then I received an email asking for pictures of the defective part (already sent), the number or letter from the part depicted in the assembly brochure (thrown away) and the quantity. I immediately asked if they wanted to help me or not?

I then said, I already sent pictures and if you don't want to help me, just say so. Furthermore, I let them know that I was not jumping though hoops for them. How can a company ask me the part number? Do they not know their own products?

I came to the conclusion that Songmics really doesn't want my repeated business.

We are in the market for a house and were actually looking at some of their home items. Not anymore!
