BEWARE OF SONABANK

THEY WILL KEEP YOUR FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS

My mother is 96 years of age. I am trying to recover her investments.

She had $52,082 in a money market with Atlantic Savings. They merged with Sonabank in 2009.

I called Sonabank and spoke with Bill Lagos (sp?) at 202-464-****, ext, 2407. He confirmed that Atlantic Savings merged with Sonabank, but said they acquired only one branch. I asked him if that were true, then who purchased the other branches.

He said he couldn't provide any further information.

My conversations with other banks indicate that this merger of one branch would be highly unusual if nit illegal. They suggest that Sonabank has not been forthcoming regarding the investments.

My mother wants only the money she is entitled to, including all interests.
