Offices closing unexpectedly

I had a membership with Sona that cost $250 month. Paid for approximately a year and went to use it here in Texas, offices suddenly closed. Been trying to get reimbursed for some of it and nothing is being done. Very very disappointing

On May 20th I signed up for the Elite Care Membership at Sona Med Sap in Raleigh, NC. When I made my return appointment for August, I asked for it to be made at Cary which is 10 minutes from my home and office. They did all of this happily. I paid about $2000.00. I have been a long-time customer that has never been a no-show for appointments. Being a provider, I know how disrespectful this is. On August 2 at 11:43, I got a call with a VM and text telling me I could not go to Cary as they only have one person who does botox and she is there two days a week - not on a Friday - the only day they know I can go. . I see patients all week but Friday. I happily said that is ok and switched back to Raleigh with the understanding they were looking for someone in Cary. They are very clear...I can only go on Fridays - thus the reason they let me know this. You can see the text between Brittany and about this.

On August 5th I had an operation scheduled at the last minute. I contacted Sona Med Spa and canceled via phone and text. We rescheduled for August 12th at 11:30. I got a call at 9:00 on August 9th Tuesday morning and a VM on my phone telling me they were calling to reschedule my appointment for August 12th that was canceled. My office manager called August 10th because I did not cancel that appointment. No problem..they rescheduled me for 12:00 August 12th. I get a text confirming the appointments. I did not see the VM or text so that is why we did not respond for 24-hours.

In May, I got a bill for about $3000.00. I called the main corporate and they told me it was a mistake and would not happen again. The program is new and that was accidentally mailed out. Today I got another one stating it is now past due 30-60 days. I call Sona in Raleigh and tell her:

1. I want the bills to stop now.

2. I want something showing I owe nothing past due.

3. I will talk to her about it tomorrow (Friday) at my appointment.

I get a call back with a VM asking me to call that they cannot accommodate me for my appointment. We call back, VM, call back again and tell them we are recording the call. We are transferred and as you can hear in the recording, Brittany is as nice as she can be. Beyond nice. In the recording, you will hear the lady tell Brittany she needs to calm down. Even then, Brittany, in an assertive way, as she was doing nothing wrong, told the lady she was calm. She was. The lady was rude and did nothing to fix the problem. She offered to reschedule but when you hear the recording, she can tell she is not being forthcome. Next Friday..that is when my PCP and *** surgery is scheduled. She tried to offer weekdays but Brittany told her I have patients.

You will hear me come into Brittany's office, not at all nice, I tell Brittany I have VMs and text and a letter to my PCP rescheduling his appointment on the 12th as I have an appointment with Sona. Brittany actually tells me to be quiet please she is handling it. Never being mean to the ladt on the phone. I was very hateful. I was clear I was contacting you.

Why would I have done that for an appointment on the 11th? That is what they were tying to say. My appointment was that day at 11:00. This was well after 11. No one called me to remind me. No one called to ask if I was coming.

Here is what I want.

I want the contract canelled and a refund for July & August. I do not want to pay anymore money. You violated this contract by 1. Not allowing me to go to the Car location which was agreed on when I signed the contract. and 2. Canelling my appointments and trying to say I did not show for an appointment I never had. 3. Having me pay for a service but cancelling my appointments or changing them without even telling me. The longer your drag out my apppointments the more money you make and the less Botox you administered. I never had this problem before this contract. It is easy, and illegal, to make money and not provide a service. 4. Trying to bill me for the full amount and telling me it is past due.

Social media and ratings go far. What you are doing by sending me a past due bill is 100% illegal. I want something in writing stating the contract is canceled, my balance is $0.00, and a refund for July & August. I don't want to deal with a dishonest company that provides a medical service as that is very dangerous.

I am attching everything but the long recordning and VMs which are too long to send in an email. You are welcomed to call Brittany and hear it. I think you should know how hateful your employee is at that store.

Being told i have lost over $6000 credit

I purchased $10,000 in treatment. I had one treatment which was horrible. I did not want to continue with the treatment but was told that the $6,000 would still be a credit I could use it anytime. But now that I'm ready to use that I'm told that credit expired

Recent visit

I just went to Sona in Huntersville, NC and was thrilled with my visit. Kay handled my injectables and she is fabulous. I highly recommend them to anyone who is bravely fighting the signs of aging along with me.

Don’t waste your money

First if all I had to listen to the managers personal problems to start with. Then I had two treatments and paid during a special for a total of 5 areas.

Thighs are more expensive. I decided to change two of my areas to thighs and was willing to pay the difference. The manager at that point credited my Acct back for the two regular specials and charged me full price for the thighs. That voided out my special price and cost me $220 more.

If she had just charged me the difference it would have been $100 more. The special was still running. She refused to make it right. I had already spent $4200.

After all the treatments and the waiting period I did not lose anything. They take pictures before and after but took them at different angles that made me look as if I had lost. Anyway I didnt see any results and contacted their corporate office and was not offered any solution at all. They just told me that they didnt guarantee any results .

I was told when I bought the services that I was a excellent candidate and was assured i would see results. I spent $4200 and didnt see any results. I guess I should have known by looking at the overweight staff. I think they should have atleast offered to repeat the process.

All I wanted was to see some results. All they care about is getting your money.

Worst dermatologist practice

The PA, Shane, couldn’t diagnose me correctly my first, second, or third visit but billed me all for full visits and follow ups. The medicine he did prescribed had nothing to do with what I came to him for. Then the bill came in and the billing department is even more incompetent. They told me it wasn’t their problem they couldn’t code the billing correctly and gave me the run around on who I needed to speak with. The person who I needed to speak with was never available and took weeks to get in contact with. Don’t use this incompetent company unless you enjoy the run around and wasting money for no results!

I received Botox and facial filler two weeks ago by Jessica Pebbles @ Sona Med Spa (Little Rock) Location. It was an amazing experience. Jessica went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She was very knowledgeable and really listened to my needs. My face now looks so much fuller and younger. I had lost 100lbs and with that weight loss my checks had lost their fullness. I am so much happier now when I look in the mirror. I highly recommend Jessica @ Sona Med Spa!!!!

Half *** Pixel Procedure Raleigh NC

When making the appointment they asked me if I had the numbing cream that MUST be applied 30 minutes prior to arriving. When I was taken back I said, "I didn't feel numb from gel". She responds " you'll be fine. I've had this done many times with no numbing medicine all me." The numbing gel they insist that you buy costing over $50 now told I don't need it She told me to lay on the table with no glasses to shield my eyes nor did she give me a headband to keep my long hair out if the way. I had to ask for them. If you're not familiar with pixel it looks like little dots all over your face where they apply the laser. She did the procedure less than 15 minutes and I have patches all over my face, which about 1/4 total combined hasn't been touched with a laser. She did it so fast and also refused to do my neck that was scheduled. My face and neck have had no sun and both looked the same I think she was in such a hurry to get to next customer or leave for the day she caused me 7 days of work for down time and it's a half done job. Absolutely the worst job ever. I've had this done before by a manager there and she did a great job but this girl obviously did not know what she was doing or was in a rush to get out for the day. I felt like I was in an assembly line. When I finished she said you've had this done before so you know what to do. She walked me to the front and say goodbye and said I could leave. She did not give me any instructions whatsoever about how to care for my face other than to keep cream on it. It had been well over a year since I had my first pixel. I spent over $10,000 with them over time and still have several pixels left on my account. I'm going to contact corporate to ask for a refund. Don't waste your money on this spa. It's not like it once was. Terrible....

Very poor communication and system that they are using

I started my face hair remvoal treatment which is very horrible experince in each sesion, however after few sitting I was trying to cancel my packege- and they said NO over on that they never call me back for my appointments neither received any remider call for that-and each time they are saying that its a "SYSTEM ISSUE" I dont think this is a good quality to do buisness with the customer

Feckless aesthetician

I’ve had three appointments for Botox. The first two, the aestheticians were very through and careful marking the locations of injections sites. This last time, the aesthetician did not mark and put in 16 units at four spots, not in symmetrical locations. I do have a background in muscular anatomy, the injection sites were not close to where they would make the best use of the Botox. At the desk to pay, I noticed on my chart she had not marked the injections sites either. The previous two visits were marked w how many units at each site very clearly. This has been a convient office location, I’m seen very quickly, but I will not go back. The office staff is outstanding and very friendly. As for my results, the Botox has made my frown line between my eyebrows lesson, not to the extent I would like (44 units over 4 months). This past experience has left me with a headache and a sensitive knot at one injection site. Many FAQ sites suggest not going to your GP as they may not have the best training, I will go back to mine as she was very aware of where and why to place the injections.

Don't waste your money

Having previously purchased laser hair removal from Sona, many years ago, I should have known better than to go back. Their pricing practices are shady and their treatment packages do not work. My previous package had not included the free "touch up" packages, so I thought I would be able to achieve full hair removal in those areas if I bought more. At no time did anyone evaluate the hair I wanted removed or inform me that my expectations were out of line with what they could offer. They just took my money. I also bought a package for a new area. I informed them throughout the process that I was seeing no change, but they said I should just keep coming. Then they told me I must have an undiagnosed medical condition, so I went to my doctor to prove that I don't. Then they said that it was my fault, that I had signed the release that said I knew it might not work. I did not know it might not remove the remaining hair -- they said that since I had had some hair removal previously it should work again. They said they could not refund me any money, since I had come all 5 times, but I came all those times because they said they couldn't talk to me about what my options were if the treatment didn't work until I had completed the treatment. They are deceptive, useless, and I would never recommend using their services. Stay away and find another, honest, provider.

Sona Med Spa: A complete waste of time AND money

I went to Sona Med Spa a few years ago (back in 2016, I believe), and I thought they were going to do a successful job with the hair removal on my face and underarms.

Well, apparently that hope was short-lived because their "hair removal" program ended up being a completely bogus scam. They had initially promised me that my facial and underarm hair would be removed after seven treatments, but my fifth-going-on-sixth treatment, I made another comment to them about my facial hair still being there (as I did on my third-going on fourth treatment). They said not to worry because it takes seven treatments.

Yeah, well, after that seventh treatment, can they please explain to my why I am still growing facial and underarm hair??

I am currently getting electrolysis from a family relative, and that method seems to be working correctly. Just whatever they did at Sona Med Spa, it was just a complete scam on all accounts.

I repeat, [b]do NOT[/b] waste your money there!

Very disappointed in services ! injectables have my face looking deformed, poor customer service in that the person who injected me commented “well it’s not a facelift!” Some nerve after I spent over $1800 for treatment! I’m just pissed that I’m stuck till injectables wear off ! With a deformed face !

Cool sculpting, I will never go back, so in professional and

I called about a premotion and told them I was unable to make that day and they said no problem we will honor it the day of your appointment, great.

First I get there and the billing was all confusing they did not know what they were doing.Then they told me I have to make another appointment because this was the consult, that was not what I was told on the phone. The consult was ok

but when I returned for my treatment this woman Kim was a rude and abrupt.

I asked if we can go over where the procedure was being done? Her response was. “ we already went over this” I was paying 1000.00 for this, she should answer any questions I ask.

Then she said “I will just draw it on you,

not in a nice manner

Then she treated me as though I knew what to do next . I never had the banana area done. I had gone to Charlotte plastic surgery, and had a cool sculpting on a scar tissue area on my stomach,But she kept saying you had cool sculpting before..

I lay on the table on my stomach as asked as she rudely says “come on,lift up” “you know the procedure”

Then asked why I hadn’t gone back to

Charlotte Plastic Surgery? I explained they didn’t do this area, her response” that’s ridiculous its the same machine, they are probably out of business.” Very negative person, not a comfortable

situation. She was out of the room in seconds

Well I am going to wait to see my results.

Good thing I didn’t pay all up front ..

They called to check on me

I told them I will never be back

Brittany asked why , I told her Kim was not very nice

Brittany said she understands she has had many other complaints about Kim.

Why is she still there???

Waste of money

While going through treatments, the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I was sold a treatment for Venus Legacy that was over $4000 for the package.

Ouch. I guess I should not have gotten sucked in because the cellulite on my legs looks the same as it did prior to treatment. I contacted Sona Med Spa and was hoping they would work with me but I was told I’d have to purchase another package because some people just need more treatments to get results. Why would I waste more money on something that did not work?

I will say, I did see results immediately following treatments but they disappeared before the 6 month point.

Save your money! Don’t use Venus Legacy to treat cellulite.
