Customer Service

Have tried to contact Solar Spectrum with no luck. Was a customer and unable to contact about problems I am having with my solar system. I give up on this company and would not recommend them to my worst enemy, good luck folks.

User's recommendation: stay away from this company, does not reply for any service calls.

Agreement signature forged

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because installing the solar panels they miss drilled a bunch of holes in my roof and I wanted somebody to come out and look at them and repair them nobody has contacted me ever so I filed a complaint Blake responded by saying they've spoken to me several times blah blah blah which they never have and somebody forged my signature on the agreement therefore I want them to cancel everything and take the solar panels off my roof I believe they are an unethical business and have unethical business practices I don't believe they take care of their customers I don't even want to have a future with this company I'm sorry I ever spoke with anybody regarding solar and I do want solar but not with them they say they have such a good customer service and they'll maintain your system they have *** customerservice matter fact they don't have any customer service cuz all they do is ignore their clients I give sungevity a minus zero

Service non-existent

As a Sungevity customer who bought panels outright, I was upset when the company went bankrupt. Solar Specturm has no intention of contacting owners of panels as there is no profit for them to do so, or to honor the terms of assuming Sungevity's customers. I wrote Solar Spectrum and received an email, someone would ge tin touch with me soon, but that was weeks ago and, despite my repeated email replies, no one has contacted. Frustrated, I called their sales line where a man told me that Solar Spectrum wanted nothing to do with people who own their panels outright. In other words, I'm on my own. I cannot afford to hie a lawyer, but wonder if anyone in my situation has done so. If yes, what kind of advice did the lawyer give you? Best of luck to you all,

Inexcusable

I purchased solar panels from Sungevity in 2016, went live December 2016, received a notice that Sungevity was going bankrupt. Contacted Sungevity and received a response on 3/22/17 that this would not cause any interruptions in service. Well when Solar Spectrum took over we were not contacted by anyone from Solar Spectrum. In September of 2017 we reached out to Solar Spectrum and Blake Hazelrigg responded that our contract was not assumed by Solar Spectrum.... then it was found, and on 9/11/17 Blake told us he hoped to have a package available soon... few months go by and we reach out to Blake again.... 12/11/17: Blakes response - "At this time we are not offering any sort of monitoring package to non- Solar Spectrum customers. You might try reaching out to the manufacturer of your solar equipment to see what they can do to help or call a local solar company and see if they can install a monitoring unit for you. Sorry I cannot be of more help." with that we emailed the CEO Patrick McGivern on 1/6/18 our situation, heresponded same day - "Let me look into what options are available." Well Blake called us, and again said there was nothing he could do for us. So my advice to the customers who paid in full to Sungevity, and currently have no monitoring service is contact a lawyer, because Solar Spectrum has no intention of monitoring your panels. Blake saw my post and responded : Hi , I just saw your review come through on Yelp! I know that not having a warranty or monitoring data has created a frustrating situation. Our team has been working hard on getting a monitoring and warranty package put together and are currently hoping for a release the middle of this month. I have not forgotten about you and definitely intended on reaching out to bring you up to speed but we are just not quite there yet. Right now, I just wanted to reach out and apologize as I know the Sungevity, Inc. bankruptcy has created a less than ideal experience for you and wanted to keep you in the loop for future offerings. Blake Same response ... funny we were never told they were “working on anything” last communication we were given a solar company in NJ to contact because that is what another consumer did. Not happy at all with the way this is being handled. Again, my advice is to contact an attorney this is not ok.
