I thought I was buying best quality from a prestigious company Smeg in U.K. but the 6 ring range cooker within the first 15 months got small rust spots now grown looks awful cant believe the steel used has rusted inside and on the surface. The company site doesnt recognise my serial number so blocked I registered it on-site so have this evidence

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. After months of phone calls, emails, and frustration, Smeg USA finally came through and decided to send us a replacement dishwasher, including removal of the non-working unit, changing our custom front panel, and installation of the new unit, all at no charge. Disappointed it took that long and so much effort, and still concerned there seems to be no customer service and repair support in our area, but pleased and relieved we now have a working dishwasher.

Our Smeg dishwasher, which was installed in a newly remodeled house we bought in 2020, stopped working just after Thanksgiving 2023 (the heater element has apparently failed). After arranging for the local authorized service person in December, he failed to show.

Turns out Smeg cancelled their service agreement with the only provider in our area (Palm Springs CA area). He recommended we buy the heater element ourselves and he could install it. When he came - at our expense - he found out there was some sort of clamp he didn't know how to remove to replace the heater element. Basically, "sorry, can't help." Now, after at least weekly efforts to get service since then, Smeg has gone quiet.

We submitted the requested email to csr@***.com with details and photos, but still haven't heard anything. SO FRUSTRATING that Smeg, a supposedly "high end" appliance, will not provide service to a region with high end homes and appliances, like ours. Even local stores in the area (PS212, Pirches) have stopped selling Smeg.

We are on the *** of just buying another dishwasher. It definitely won't be Smeg.

So I have to change my review - Smeg came through after nearly 6 months and replaced our dishwasher for free - including removing the non-working one, replacing our custom front panel, and installing the new one. Still very disappointed that the appliance didn't last very long, and more so that Smeg lacks a customer service and repair capability in our area despite selling here, and even more so that it took me and my wife a lot of hours of phone calls and emails to get them to solve our problem. But they did do right and were, in the end, quite nice and supportive about our issue.

Very bad customer service

The worse Customer service ever. I bought the induction cook top and it got broken in 3 weeks.3 burners stopped work .I did try to call customer service for weeks and they did answer ones and told me to submit all info via emale and i did it. No answer or respond for weeks and nobody picks the phone again.Finally after two month service representative by the name Richard Rudnicki did assure me that he will help me to replace the cook top since it under manufacturer warranty and after that i cant reach him on the phone again.Its been 3 month i don't have cook top.

Run away from Smeg produkts because when you will have problems there is no help.

Oven hasn’t been working for 4 months now.

I have had multiple calls with the manager (Richard) who actually called me initially to say he would send me a new range since it was serviced 3 times at that point. He claimed he didn’t receive my address for shipment however when I forwarded my email with the info and asking for a tracking number I’ve been now ghosted by himself, the service department and everyone at SMEG. 4 months already without a working oven when the range was only 9 months new when issues arose.

I purchased a SMEG dual fuel 36 range Through appliance connection who gave me a 10 year warranty however the range broke down at 9 months and was supposed to be covered by the manufacturer. I contacted SMEG who sent out a tech 3 times and more parts to which Richard (manager at SMEG in NJ) said he would send me a new range.

Its been 4 months of back and forth trying to get parts, the tech would wouldnt put down rosin paper or wear booties on his shoes on my brand new installed floor and now zero response. He said he would send me a new range, asked for my address, said he didnt receive it after I emailed him 8 days later for me to forward my email. Stephanie in service responded once and that was now weeks ago.

Ive called all these people and its been 4 months without a working oven. I have all emails and calls documented to show their lack of accountability and its sorely disappointing.

Coffee grinder is not working

My husband was given this coffee grinder last Christmas. It is making the correct sounds but coffee grinds are not getting into the vessel that holds them.

Not sure what to do. I have followed the basic trouble shooting but it has not fixed the problem. I also dont know if he registered it.

I also left multiple messages.

After no response I decided to look at it more closely and made a tool to jam into sides of the grinder and up the shoot.

After working for an hour or so I fixed it.

Take away- not complicated. The pathways are small.
