Company avoids responsibility by claiming damage from vibration and rain?

SMB Car transport transported a 3 year old one owner vehicle in excellent condition. Arrived with aerial snapped off and dents on the bonnet. Company claimed that " this is not transit damage. This is general wear and tear of the vehicle through the vibrations and normal road movement the aerial may have become loose". The roof aerial apparently fell off between Melbourne and Perth and then opened the car door and hopped inside. Also claimed "We do not use ropes across the vehicles during or at any time in our transit. These marks across the bonnet may have been there on collection of the vehicle and been unable to see as on the docket it states wet survey, in these conditions we cannot write up every mark on the vehicle when it is not visible in the wet" Company happy to take your money and sign consignment docket that there are no dents or marks but come up with excuses why they are not responsible. SMB ignored a request from the NSW Fair Trading inquiring about this matter so the regulator can't pursue it further. Advised to commence court action. Can't afford to fly 5 hours to Sydney to attend court action so the unscrupulous win again. Frustrated that company treats customers and regulators with indifference. DON'T USE SMB CAR TRANSPORT.
