Smartbox users BEWARE
SMARTBOX, a nation wide storage company based out of Virginia, had possession of all my personal property for temporary storage. In direct violation of corporate policy and State laws they failed to notify me via mail that a lien had been place on my two storage boxes.
They then failed to publish a public notice that an auction was being held for my possessions. When I eventually discovered that an auction had been held, I requested any proceeds over that necessary to satisfy the lien. After multiple requests they have failed to respond.
I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureaus in Massachusetts and Virginia. I have also filed complaints with the Attorneys General Office in both Virginia and Massachusetts.
