Original review updated Aug 28, 2022

I've been going to that place for more than 15 years on 08/08/2022 I brought my 2006 Toyota RAV4 for inspection and service, the service adviser by the name of: Nick Countey way over overcharge me a total of $ 4953.63 by recommending me to correct the problem before passing inspection, so I went and pick up my car and paid $ 175.63 and went to another mechanic to correct the problems, I bought all my parts for a total of $756 and paid $350 for labor. 8/26/2022, I went back to Sloane Toyota at Glenside Pa to have my safety ticket inspection, my battery od good, I replaced my battery which is the same size as the original and I have been going for inspection to Sloane Toyota for years with that battery suddenly the new adviser Nick Countey said he is not going to give me the safety inspection ticket it is an hazard safety I need to put a Toyota battery, since he made me paid for the inspection pass or fail which I understand but after correcting the problems he charged me again and didn't want to put the safety ticket in my windshield, so I asked the receptionist if I would like to see the manage as the receptionist let the manager know that a customer want to see him for a complaint and i went the manager said to me he was there it's about the battery and screaming at me: I don't want to hear anything get out of my office, and I said sir it's about the adviser make me paid again, the manager said to me, he doesn't have anything to do with that, and I said I will not come back here again and the manager said: good you don't have to come back.

I feel ashamed and upset, all the 4 service advisers and the receptionist heard the way the manager was screaming at me.

It is such a beautiful place, It is a shame having kind of people working in that place and they are all new faces, the new services adviser and the manager are not fit for that position. I love that place I am hoping the responsible for that location: Sloane Toyota Easton Road Glenside Pa will take thoroughly drastic decision against the new services adviser and the manager.

Preferred solution: The manager and the service adviser are not fit for that position, they need to be replace.

User's recommendation: It is not a good idea to go to that place the service adviser not good and the service manager is unprofessional and very uneducated

Lied to about options

AI Highlights
  • - CDs were said unavailable, yet manuals show a CD player.
  • - Heated steering wheel and tire pressure reset unavailable on the model.

On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, I purchased a 2017 RAV4 . Before taking possession, I asked about the CD player, I was told CD's are not made any more.

Imagine MY surprise when the 2 owner's manuals showed CD players. I returned to the dealer with my complaint about the discrepancies. The cover up was, " not for that model". I brought up other options I had wanted, i.e.,heated steering wheel and tire pressure reset.

Again, not available on the model, or any combination of models.

Toyota's lack of honesty, specificity, and concern about their customer is making me think Honda, Subaru, Lexus, or anything other than Toyota. I find this treatment to be both deplorable and disrespectful.

Loss:
$34300
Cons:
  • Being lied to
Reason of review:
told no cd's,

Preferred solution: Full refund
