Owner basically hung up on me when explaining the problem with the mattress and box spring I purchased from them. Run for the hills. Buy from Costco

Don't shop here the owner Steve L. is a complete disgrace to any small business owner! He sold us a top of the line Sealy mattress with the wrong box spring and after the mattress failed pulled the warranty card out and won't replace the mattress because "we" had the wrong box spring! The same owner owns all three locations around South Western Ontario so beware of just going to either Waterloo or Cambridge. Also beware that any bed over a Twin must have a middle support regardless of the bed frame construction according to the same warranty another BS remark they made to us as our frame is steel and has not sagged an inch after having it for over twenty years! It's a bit of a long review...sorry Last month I brought my dad here to buy a whole new bed everything went fine. So last weekend I decided to go there as well and buy myself a new mattress and box spring and I specifically asked DAN the sales person to make sure that I get a split box spring because a full size one will not fit up my stairs that is the reason we didn't have one. My husband even spoke to him on the phone the day that I paid to ensure that the price included taxes delivery and a split box spring and DAN said yes. A day later the delivery guys come to my house with a full box spring and I told them that is not what I ordered or paid for I specifically asked for a split because it will not fit up my stairs. They asked if I paid for a split then said they'll call the store. I showed the receipt. They made a call and while they were on the phone they said that it would be $100 for one and they had an extra one in their truck right now. I told them I'm sorry I do not have $100 on me so they asked if I had a credit card and I said I do not and I'm not paying $100 right now. I was asked to go to the store later to pay the $100 and I told them to go and I was going to talk to my husband when he got home. **note they pulled the same thing to my dad when they delivered his bed** The next day DAN calls me while I'm at work leaves me a message about the $100. I forgot to call him back. WELL last night at 9PM the owner STEVE shows up at my doorstep asking about $100!! WTF he never tried calling me once and he had the nerve to show up at my house and his fancy BMW asking me about this $100 now tell me that's not as unprofessional amd as *** as you can get!! He's lucky he didn't get a punch in his face right off the bat for waking up my child. If there was a way that I could return my bed set I would in a heartbeat but from all the other reviews that I'm reading that is very unlikely to happen. I'm going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I'll be sure to tell my other two friends that were going to go there to go somewhere else I will make sure that I get this out there to as many people as I can that he came to my house asking about $100 and he was not very nice.

Bought an expensive mattress and box spring combo, after having it for three months realized that the deep indentations left by my wife and I were not just part of the break in period. Talked to Dan at the store (presumably the owner or some upper management type) about replacement and was told it would be up to Sealy to make that call based on photos I provided. After over 5 weeks, still no answer and very minimal contact from sleep ezz. Getting the strong feeling that they are just waiting and hoping that I go away. Even at the very beginning when I spoke with Dan in person about it, he seemed to be not at all concerned with my issues. First and last time I purchase anything from sleep ezz.

Completely unethical practices
I purchased a mattress for my son and his wife as a wedding gift and was VERY careful to ensure that it could be returned for a different firmness should they wish it. I was assured that could be done, but for good measure, I obtained in writing) the promise that this would be possible. However, when the time came, they explained that another $400 would be owing. They were quick to point out that they were, in fact, allowing a return... but they didn't say that it wouldn't be at an extra charge. Dan Ruppel, the sales manager at the King St. store was unwilling to help - said his hands were tied - and told me to contact Steve at the Courtland St. store. When I visited Steve at that location, he rudely told me there was nothing to be done - it was pay the $400 extra or keep the mattress we had. When I very politely asked him about integrity and concern over customer satisfaction, he actually admitted that he couldn't care less about either and then adamantly ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE STORE!!! I'm completely dissatisfied with this company and tell EVERYONE I know about its shoddy business practices. In short, STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!

Worst customer service experience ever. Do yourself a favour and shop else where. No follow through. If you have any issues they get extremely rude very quickly. The own Steve is also a tool. Says things like"hes been in business for 25 years" as this is justificarion for his rude comments. In my situation, his sales guy actually swore at me. Granted I did question his authenticity in regards to his claim of "great customer service" after he started getting agitated but to me, disagreeing in something doesnt excuss loosing your temper at a customer like that. I never raise my voice, I only asked a couple questions. When I spoke to the owner, he tells me the sales guy is usually a great guy. His response to me asking if he is ok with his sales guys swearing at customers, was to tell me, he will run his business the way he wants and that hes been in business for 25 yrs... lol this place is such a joke. You've been warned.

Sleep Ezzz - Futon Bunk Bed Review from Kitchener, Ontario
Waited 5 months for the futon bunk to come in,delivery men came in the house with wet muddy shoes,I told them they could have wiped their shoes, what came next was yelling and swearing,flailing of arms,the one removed his shoes and said see I'll wipe it with my socks then he put his sock in the slush and with his wet sock smeared even more along the path of hardwood floor,then replied see now your whole floor is wet. When I called the manager he told me to move on.Will never recommend or buy from them ever agai

Sleep-ezzz sales sleezzz.
My wife and I purchased a bed for my son. My wife also bought an expensive pillow to address her bad neck. My wife had reservations about buying the pillow as it was expensive and wasn't sure it would work. The sales lady assured her she could return it if she wasn't satisfied. Well my wife used it two nights and it didn't help at all. So we decided to return it. She entered the store while I waited in the car. A man was the only guy in the store. She told him she only used it twice and that she was told she could return it. The man said that he could not authorize this and that you need to talk to the lady that sold you the pillow and that she will be in tomorrow. So I went back in to talk to the man myslelve. The man again said he could not authorize this. I then proceeded to ask him if he was the owner? He said yes, I am the owner. I asked then why is you can't authorize this return? He said I didn't sell it, and I don't know what the sales lady told you. So we proceeded to talk to the sales lady over the phone the next day. She proceeded to tell us that she never told us this!!! Lye's again,even my son remembers her telling us we could return it. She was addement she would never tell a customer this even though three people remember her saying this!!! She told me they will not take any returns. They didn't offer anything else to us or where even sorry about it, they where quite rude infact. So buyer beware they will not take a return, but will tell people they will.

Sales staff and owner admit use of dishonest sales tactics.
When sold a Tempurpedic mattress, I expressed concerns about whether or not I would be satisfied. The salesman (and owner) assured that I could return it if not satisfied, quoting "I'm not going to let you be in a mattress that you don't like". When I did need to return it he charged me several hundred dollars in previously undisclosed restocking fees. When I asked why this wasn't explained during our earlier conversation about my concerns, he replied that he was purposefully vague because if he told me his return policy I would not have purchased the mattress. He was right. This sales pitch was a clearly delivered narrative that the salesman admits to being part of his standard sell tactics. Sleep Ezz will not advertise its return policy and will deliberately mislead you; buy a mattress anywhere else.

Thanks for your review...I will make sure I don't purchase my mattress from them. I believe The Brick offers 120 day return policy...maybe that's the store to get a new mattress. :)
