My Fiancé and I went to Sleep Cheap August 2015. We purchased a King Set and two memory foam tops for our children and the total price was $1163.00 and were told we could finance this through a company called SNAP finance and our payments would be $164.00 monthly until paid in full. I did the math and figured we would be done in February 2016. We signed an agreement on the Salesperson’s computer electronically. He did not go over the contract except the payment of $164.00 monthly. He was the only Salesperson in the store that day. He scrolled down to the bottom of the contract online and had me sign electronically, and we waited for the decision, He was then on the phone with the Creditors asking me questions to relay back to them such as income etc. We were approved, he handed us a large yellow sales receipt, with the total amount of purchase $1163.00. All was well, until I called in February to make a last payment or close to last payment I thought. I asked the person on the phone after I made a payment, what is my balance. I was expecting a small amount leftover, it was then He informed me I owed ANOTHER $1100.00?. I thought he was joking, I said are you kidding me? He said NO, because I didn’t pay it off the $1163.00 by December 2015, (in the supposed contract I never received and they stated was emailed to me) they legally can now charge us an additional $1100.00 on top, I had no idea ever, because it was never disclosed to me at time of purchase by the sales person at the Dover, DE location. He said it’s in your contract you signed? I’m like “what contract” the salesperson NEVER GAVE ME A CONTRACT NOR A COPY OF ONE AT TIME OF PURCHASE” I only received a large yellow receipt with the amount of $1163.00 due, and no where on that sales receipt states about if we fail to pay off by December 2015 we'd incur an additional $1100.00. And let me tell you if I WOULD HAVE KNOWN, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED IT “PERIOD”! Because $2200.00 for a king size mattress is out of line baby and a total rip off. I called SNAP back today to try to work something out, for someone to understand that we were not informed and not aware of this whatsoever, and they state over and over, there’s nothing we can do, it’s in your contract… So mad at this point I gave up and went to the place we purchased for help, I walk into the store today and confront the same salesman who sold me this ridiculous contract, I told him straight to his face, “you lied to me and my family” you never told us about the extra expenses we would incur if we didn’t pay this off by December 2015, and you failed to give us a copy of a supposed contract that we were legally to receive. He stated “it was emailed to you” I’m like, I never saw this’? His response, “Rome wasn’t built in a day” these things take time to resolve” I will call and try to help you” He then picked up the phone, stated he couldn’t get through to the finance company to talk to them to resolve, he tried at best 2 times, then handed the phone to the other associate in the store, went to the back of the store Cowardly and never came back?! The other man in the store stated “I will work on this, give us 24 hours”. Sure, when cows start to fly will you help me, DON'T GO TO SLEEP CHEAP MATTRESSES AND MORE IN DOVER, DE. Ugh! Misrepresentation, fraudulent deceptive practices, stay far away from this place! very misleading! This should be against the law, AS I'm not the only one going through this, check out the BBB website.

Problems with payment

Preferred solution: I have already paid in full the amount owed on the receipt given to me of $1163.00, I paid this off in February 2016. I wish not to pay any more than what was disclosed and what is on my receipt dated 08/24/2015.

My husband and I bought a mattress set from sleep almost a year ago in Jonesboro Ar on Caraway Street. We been calling for almost two weeks. The first person my husband spoke to was suppose to have came out last Friday to look at it. No one never showed up. Not to mention I missed work thinking someone was going to show up. We called them later that afternoon they said that they had a lot of customers, and they would call is back. Guess what? We never heard back from them. We been calling them everyday, and everyday its something different. They assured us that we had a ten year warranty. Please do not buy from them because they don't stand behind there word.
