I will NEVER order from this company again! I never received an item I ordered from them & they played games hoping I would go away instead of opening up an investigation right away.
I had to reach out to my attorney and to UPS myself to get this resolved. Now almost 4 months later they are stating that the item was indeed NOT sent to me and that they will call me back tomorrow to give me an update on whether they will send a check or place the refund on my card since its (get this).....closing time! So now we shall see if I receive a call back on getting my money back. The customer service rep also had the worst attitude (Mindy).
If you want to get your items that YOU PAY FOR right away and not have the headaches and stress of going through the *** I went through for the past (almost) 4 months...DONT order from this company! They could care less about their customers!
Resolved: REFUND WAS PROCESSED?? TO WHO?
Skymall contacted me and told me that l that a full refund was processed on October 28th. It is now November it is now 11/03/2015.
I do not see any refund in my account. I have tried to call again and all of their customer service representatives are busy. Please leave a message. I left a message and sent yet one more e-mail to find the status.
I have a .pdf of the e-mails that I have sent but the server times out trying to attach a 69 kb. I ordered this item on 09/05/2015. That was 11 weeks ago. I have been told that another item was shipped to me, I have been told that a refund would be issued, and I have been informed that a refund was issued.
None of which appears to be true.
I am still out $88.24. This is my second review on pissed customer.

Worst customer service ever/ They cheat customers
I purchased two bedroom suite from Skymall while deployed years ago, spending between $2500 to $3500 and less than a year we had to buy new beds. I shipped some items back due to damage.
They claimed they never received the items but someone signed for the items because I had insurance on the items and it showed it was delivered. They gave me the run around and never refunded my money. I would never order from them again or recommend to a friend. Stay away from this company unless you want to be screwed.

Shade Sail Review
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS!!!!!!!!!
The adhesive does not stay connected to the hook end and you will have to buy a new shade.
WORST ONLINE SERVICE i HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED
I order and item, Tray table with drawer rubbed walnut item #20000****, for ~ $90.00 including shipping. I ordered the item September 3, 2015.
They have it being delivered on 09/15/2015. It was not delivered. I contacted the shipper. The shipper completed an investigation.
Their investigation confirmed the item was not delivered to my home as I requested in my order. The shipper refunded SkyMall for the item. I can not get Sky Mall to return e-mail, phone calls, product or refund. So they have stolen my almost $90.00, the shipper refund of almost $90.00.
What an amazing scam. They get ~ $180.00 and I get nothing but grief and a debt.

Don't buy through Skymall....
Oct 15 2014 ordered item thru Skymall for $102.14. Item came from Hammacher-Schlemmer with lifetime guarantee.
Item broke. HS told me to return it and would send new item. Returned it FEDEx. However Skymall had declared bankruptcy and HAmmacher wouldn't send new item because it was purchased thru Skymall.
Told me that they had issued a credit back to Skymall and Skymall would send the refund. However, Skymall had declared bankruptcy in the meantime but was reorganized and back in business but won't refund. Skymall suggested we get refund from credit card.
credit card won't refund because it's been over 60 days. Even though this is only a $100 purchase, I have now x'd Skymall off my list for furniture purchases....still enjoy the magazine but outer have directly thru vendor.

SKYMALL is a Waste of Time
I ordered on 12/19/2014 and to this day one item has not been delivered. They lied again and again trying to trick me to accept a cheaper product.
They sent emails saying product delivered but with no tracking number!
It has been 3 months and no sign of delivering what I paid for. I'm talking to a lawyer and base on her suggestion I filled against them in BBB. If it didn't work we are going to take it to the court.
If you have any evidence against them make sure to keep them ready. They have no regards for their customers

Sky Mall is breaking the law!
They have false advertising in Facebook. Be careful and never buy anything from them!
They sent me my order six weeks after the agreed date, they promised me a 50% refund because all of their mistakes and then they make an abusive charge on my credit card! It is been 10 days and I haven't got my refund. They do not answer my emails or tweets. They blocked me from their facebook page as I wrote them a bad review.
It is unbelievable! Be careful!
I will never buy with them... If they are not ready to serve their international clients, they should not advertise in international flights!
Worst customer service - ever
I ordered a gift card through skymall 2 years ago (in Jan 2011) and they had a sucky online system which cut off my apartment number and incorrectly (so they claim) to have sent it to the wrong address. They told me they will block the card and refund my points (as I had used my Marriott points for this) - which never happened.
I have been emailing them and calling for over 2yrs now.
Everytime I get their automated response over email or if I call, I am always told they need to talk to their supervisor (who is obviously in a meeting!) and get back to me, but they never do.
Can I go to consumer court for this? I have lost many hours talking to different customer representatives and trying to get this resolved.
Skymall ruined Christmas
I TRIED to place an online order on 11/23 - web site NEVER updated and continually got a white screen. Links for immediate discounts?
They NEVER worked! After calling for an HOUR I was able to place my orde - Oh but then there were system problems so 'someone will call back with your order confirmation later today.' That never happended either. I did receive an e-mail confirmtation of my order being placed but the 10% discount I was promosed also NEVER happened. I ordered 3 items and 2 of those were received.
The 3rd item - NFL Bunting - only had 'Vendor Acknowledged" for 3 weeks.
When I tried to place an online inquiry -NOTHING happened on submit So I called last Saturday and was told I'd get an update in 48 hours - 6 days later I received an e-mail response to my online inquiry that I never received confirmation it was placed, telling me my son in-law's christmas present is now back ordered at least until 1/4/13!. This is THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH - WORSE THAN A TIMESHARE COMPANY!
Furniture sent doesn't match description
Sky Mall and Design Toscano are ridiculous. I ordered a piece of furniture that never arrived when I called I was notified that this furniture was backordered for a month, then it happened again and again for 3 months!!!
Finally my furniture arrived unlike what I ordered a different color. I callled and they agreed to schedule a pick up. When I called the following day to see when they would pick it up they then decided they were not that I should pay to return piece and bring it to UPS!!!!! Its over 100 pounds....
DOOOOOO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I learned my lesson the hard way and am still trying to resolve the problem.
Hammacher Schlemmer is rip-off
Warning to all my friends and friends of friends; please pass this along. I ordered a product from Hammacher-Schlemmer (from SkyMall) in early December 2010.
They said it would be shipped Dec. 8. On Dec. 23 they sent a postcard saying that the item was out of stock so they would not ship until Dec.
13 (yes, the postcard was 10 days late or more). I called to find out if the package had shipped and they said it had. I verified the address for the shipment which is my friend in China. I thought everything was fine until today when they called and told me the package was abandoned by UPS because UPS couldn't find the address.
Furthermore, they were not refunding my money and I could order the same thing again *** I called them and spoke to 3 different levels of management but all said the same, no refund, take it up with the credit card company. Please BOYCOTT HAMMACHER_SCHLEMMER and tell your friends the same.
How SkyMall ruined my Christmas
Christmas is usually a time filled with joy and cheer, but sadly, this year I have found it to be filled with frustration due to a rather disturbing and disappointing shopping experience with SkyMall.
On December 2nd, I ordered a skating rink from SkyMall for my family (see confirmation email below). At the time that I placed the order I was told that it would arrive by December 11th, giving me plenty of time to get it set up before Christmas.
Having never received confirmation that the item had shipped, I decided to phone SkyMall on December 9th to check on the status of my order. There seemed to be confusion on the part of the agent that I spoke with, but she ultimately said that the package should arrive on the 11th (and they had asked the vendor to contact me directly as well).
The package did not arrive, as promised, on the 11th so I phoned again on December 12th. All that the SkyMall representative could tell me at that point was that she did not know what was going on and that SkyMall would contact the vendor again (SkyMall’s follow-up email is attached below). Later that same day I got a postcard from Hammacher Schelemmer informing me that the item I’d ordered was out of stock and that it would not arrive until December 28th (mind you, this notice was received a full 10 days after I had initially placed my order with SkyMall).
Out of curiosity, after having received this notice, I checked the SkyMall site on December 13th and saw that the order status was listed as “canceled.” Since I hadn’t requested that the order be canceled I called SkyMall to inquire about what had happened. They could not give me a reason, but confirmed that the order had indeed been cancelled. Interestingly enough, they also sent an email on the 13th (attached below) saying that the item I had ordered was on backorder but would likely ship on the 28th, despite the fact that the order appeared to be “canceled” in their computer system (a fact which they confirmed when we spoke on the phone). All this is bad enough from a customer service standpoint, but from here on out is where it gets really ugly and far more frustrating.
Since the order appeared to be “canceled” on the SkyMall site and that fact had been confirmed by the SkyMall representative that I spoke with on the 13th, I logged on to my Paypal site on December 14th to confirm that the pending payment had also been canceled. However, on the Paypal site the payment still showed as “pending.” At this point, having spent many hours on the phone trying to resolve this matter, and having come to realize that I would not have anything to show for my troubles and efforts on Christmas day, I called SkyMall to confirm that the order was cancelled and that, at the very least, the pending payment form Paypal would not go through. The SkyMall representative that I spoke with ensured me that no money is taken as payment until the product ships, and that it would likely take a few days for the pending payment to be “released.”
At some point, however, on December 14th the Paypal transaction was completed and SkyMall received nearly $794.95 for an order that they themselves had spontaneously cancelled earlier in the week – and an order which they had no way of filling at that point in time since all information still indicated that the product was back ordered.
I called SkyMall again on the 15th to request that the money be returned immediately but all that they could tell me was that it was a computer error and I would have to wait 24-72 hours to get my money back. So here it is, ten days before Christmas and I have no gift, and no money to buy replacement gifts.
Seventy-two hours came and went and there has still been no refund to my account. I called SkyMall today and was once again told that there was nothing more they could do and that it could take up to a week for the refund to appear back in my Paypal account (again, keep in mind that this is a refund for a transaction that they assured me would never occur).
In the meantime, I have nearly $800 less than when I started my holiday shopping at the beginning of December and still have nothing to show for it. I find myself hoping that SkyMall has not made another promise that it does not intend to keep in telling me that my money will be refunded in time for me to purchase other gifts for my family I also worry about the additional costs of being forced to do last minute shopping.
$800 may not be a big order from SkyMall’s point of view, but it was an extremely large chunk of my family’s Christmas budget. At no point during this ordeal did SkyMall do anything to help me (other than apologizing and informing me that there were computer errors) or to make things right from a customer service standpoint. I had to initiate all communication with them to get information about what was happening, and despite my efforts to be proactive in preventing problems, (and their repeated assurances that there was no need to worry), this has truly been a nightmare that has dampened my Christmas spirits (and will be a far bigger problem if their refund fails to come by Christmas).
As of right now, all I have is SkyMall’s assurance that that money will be refunded by the end of this week, but since they have failed to keep each of their past promises, I don’t really feel optimistic at this point in time. I don’t expect my online shopping experiences to be perfect, but I do expect the companies that I shop with to make good on their promises, or offer adequate compensation for my troubles when they fail to do so. When a company goofs up so badly, whether it be on the part of their employees or their computer system, a mere apology does not seem sufficient. At the very least, I would expect some sort of goodwill compensation or credit for all of the time that I have taken off work to deal with this situation (albeit unsuccessfully).
I also do not accept SkyMall’s attempts to pass the blame onto other vendors, since they have made the choice to work with these vendors and be the point of contact for would-be consumers. In the emails attached below they state that “satisfaction is very important” to them, and that satisfaction is their “first priority” – but as far as I could tell from my dealings with them, ensuring my satisfaction wasn’t even the most minor of concerns, and at times, doing the minimal amount to assist me seemed to be an annoyance to them.
In any case, I would advise any consumer to think twice about ordering from SkyMall. I have nothing to show for my one and only experience with them except for a lot of wasted hours and $800 less dollars.

Sky Mall took my money and kept it
I purchased a photo comverter from Sky Mall. The quality was less than desirable so I returned it per their "customer satisfaction guarantee".
The reason I ordered it was due to my son sending me a $50.00 internet gift certificate from Sky Mall for my birthday and this item caught my eye. I had to pay an additional $107.24 along with the gift certificate to cover the entire cost. I did get the $107.24 refunded to my VISA card but they never refunded the $50.00 gift certificate or any part of it.
I have made many, many phone calls and emails, to no avail. Everyone I talked to gave me a different story. One email showed the entire $50.00 was eaten up with S&H, Taxes and other charges that come to exactly $50.00. Others promised i would receive a replacement gift certificate within a few days. I have been waiting for over 2 months and they still have not refunded or replaced the certificate. At this point I don't believe they intend to do so.
I would not recommend that anyone purchase anything from Sky Mall under any circumstances. I have learned my lesson. I don't know how they are still in business.
