- - Downgrade due to departure delay from a Qantas flight causing us to miss Dallas connection.
- - We seek compensation; request sent Apr 5; no reply.
I am working with Griffith Aparico on a flight downgrade caused by a departure delay due to a mechanical problem on a Quantas flight causing us to miss our connection in Dallas . We are looking for compensation My Quantas customer care # is 1939****.
A compensation request was sent by Griffith to Quantas on April 5th.
We have not heard anything yet. Flight was Quantas from Sydney connecting to American Airlines in Dallas.
User's recommendation: I feel skylit has done their job. I am just waiting on Quantas. Maybe I am being to jumpy. Quantas is a good airline and I am sure this will get straightened out.

Cruise line MSC canceled cruise.
Had to change.
I should have read between the lines.
Why don't they allow Facebook reviews?
What was said isn't true, and SkyLux added at least $1,000 to each ticket for the exchange for a total of $3,000 that if I would have booked through the airline it would have been less than $1,000 - I gave the quote from Turkish before and after, and the cost to Hamburg vs Rome what I changed to was even less.
I booked my flight through SkyLux Travel, and due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change it. While SkyLux followed airline rules, the total fees I was charged were far higher than expected, over $1,000 more than if I had booked directly through Turkish Airlines. This caused significant inconvenience and frustration.
I reached out to SkyLux to request any goodwill adjustment or consideration, given the situation, but they said they had fulfilled their role and no further action would be taken.
Even though the agency was following policy, the lack of flexibility and the unexpectedly high cost made what should have been a simple flight change unnecessarily stressful. I hope others are aware that booking through an agency can sometimes lead to much higher fees than booking directly.
Below is my response to Lanre.
Dear Lanre,
Thank you for your reply.
While I acknowledge your position, I am disappointed with the overall experience and how this matter has been handled. As a result, I will not be booking with SkyLux Travel again in the future.
I also believe it is important to share honest feedback about my experience, and I intend to leave reviews reflecting the service I received. I always prefer to resolve matters directly and amicably, but unfortunately, I do not feel that a fair outcome was reached in this case.
I wish your company well going forward, but I will be taking my future travel business elsewhere.
Regards,
Robert

- - Paid for first/business class; changes left legs in economy and flights were canceled with vouchers.
- - Thick accent made him hard to understand.
I tried time and again to contact them. There was no response.
The first agent I spoke with didn't speak English well because his accent was very thick. I sure had a difficult time understanding him. He created my tickets, but soon there was a change in flight plans, and there were economy seats. It took me lots of time on the phone and sending emails, but they canceled my flight and gave me vouchers.
Then I got another agent who was easier to understand.
He booked my tickets, all.in first class except the last leg of the trip and it was in economy. I agreed to that. I was on our cruise when I got notice that there was a change in our itinerary again. This time they booked the last leg of the journey for five hou6in economy.
I was on a cruise, so at 25 cents a minute, being put on hold or talking to a person with few English skills wouldn't have worked. I contacted them on Facebook asking them to please give me what I paid for.
They responded by saying people were looking into it. Nothing happened of course.
