- Staff were rude, belittling me and treating me like a criminal.
- They overpriced the muzzle loader and denied the sale.
Skips treated me like *** when I went in to purchase a muzzle loader last fall. After way overpricing the gun I filled out a purchase a long rifle permit (which never had to be done for a muzzle loader), and after waiting for a couple hours, was denied and not given a reason!
They couldn't even tell me why, even though I've purchased their before! Losers! They were rude , belittling and inderferent and immediately judged me a criminal. I couldn't believe the treatment I received.
By the owners at that. Bad public relations! Wouldn't buy another firearm there period. They're good for bait and that's about it!

Some fokes can be in bussness for years and still have an open mine when it comes to a question, but at skips they start off by belittleing you and then raise there voice to get there message across, trying to make you sound ***. I order a pistol from other state and had it delivered to skips. When I went in to pick it up the gun they said you need a ppl or a cwp or a ffl. Not telling me that all these letters meant was a license.
I had ask around before about buying a gun and was told ,ask your ffl dealer about it, and that is what I did at skips. All they had to do was say was you need a pistol permit license. But instead ,tryd to make me look like a --.If skips reads this there is no such letters in the law books as cwp , its call CPP.This is not my first time dealing with them, when you walk in they dont even ask if you need help or look at you there to busy standing around .They have one thing in mine ,get what you want, give me your money and get out . Above all dont ask me any question, your just a costomer.
I am a paying costomer and have spent money in there. But to be treated like that you can bet Ill go to Jays in Gaylord where they no how to treat a customer.
Skips no PR at all. I hope they no what PR means.

Just because he made some spelling errors do not discredit his negative review. Even though we live near Skip's we drive to Jay's 45 minutes away or Red Oak in Onaway over an hour away to avoid Skip' as their customer service is not what it should be and there is truth in what he said.
