stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - I recycled aluminum cans and got 12 cents per pound.
  • - Modern Recycling quoted 22 cents per pound.
  • - Sims paid 50% of the market rate.

I took aluminum cans for recycling. They gave me 12 Cents per pound.

Called modern recycling they quoted 22 Cents per pound for aluminum. Called place in Philadelphia gave me price for aluminum cans 24 Cents per pound. Sims gave me 50 % of the market. M Dunn Recycling and scrap metal gave me 24 Cents.

I called and complained they said that's all they are paying. Aluminum prices in US are posted every day. How someone can steal money from uneducated consumer.

Can you imagine people who feed themselves by picking up aluminum cans from the streets to feed themselves, what difference it will make to them . Called their home office no one answer phone, pricing dial 1, after you dial 1 phone disconnects you .

Loss:
$2

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Call around recycling places , before you take metals for recycling.

Pre weigh your loads

AI Highlights
  • - Scrap iron at 130 N 12th St, Sacramento.
  • - Price good only on loads over 1 ton.
  • - Reweigh showed a 540 lb difference.

i had taken in a load of personal scrap iron which I had taken into the Sacramento location at130 N 12th street the had quoted me a price and told me the price would be good only on loads over 1 ton I had weighed my truck on our own certified scale with a tare weight of 4540 and a gross weight of 7160. When I weghed in at Sims I had a gross of 6720 and a tare of 4640.I pulled off the scale on check out got back in line for a reweigh and they had held up a truck to buy time and get personel from the front office into the scale house...when I had confronted them about the 540 pound difference I got the run around and the our scales are certified mumbo jumbo....there caught and knew it
