I purchased a Silentnight miracoil mattress for £220.00 three years ago. In the months following purchase it started to sag slightly where I sit down to get into bed and has gradually formed 'valleys' in a couple of places and the sharp springs are coming through in those areas.
Silentnight now want me to pay a further £180.00 towards the cost of a replacement mattress of their choice under their '5 year guarantee'. I am disgusted with this company who have done nothing but try to wriggle their way out of their responsibilities for selling a defective mattress.
On researching online, I find that many, many people are in the same situation due to Silentnight and their miracoil mattresses. How are these people getting away with selling this product, not to mention exploiting people with their virtually worthless guarantee?
