Cavity wall and loft insulation broken appointments and promises By SIG plc
- - Surveyor said houses were suitable.
- - First three visits failed: no-show and wrong materials.
- - Cavity and loft were insulated; final loft due Feb 15.
Two houses to be loft insulated and cavity wall insulated. The company sent a surveyor round and he declared the houses suitable and eligible.
The insulation team failed to turn up for the first appointment. They arrived for the second appointment with the wrong insulation materials. They arrived for the third appointment and could not do it because thay had the wrong eaves ventiltors. On the fourth appontment they cavity insulated one house.
On the fifth appointment they loft insulated one house.
On the sixth appointment they arrived after 4 pm on Friday anxious to get home and declared the house unsuitable for cavity wall insulation in spite of the surveyor having said it was OK. Watch this space for the final loft job on 15 Feb
