Verified ReviewerFraud and Dishonesty
I am not certain. They forged my signatures, there were lines on the agreement that required my initials, and they were forged.
I thought this was a motel, so I didn't know that there was a lengthy agreement to sign. The woman at the desk told me to go ahead to the room and they would bring me the document. I didn't know it was this type of agreement. This is a scam.
I lost $540. Advice, I am not certain.
How do you ask questions, when you don't know there is a situation? I was blindsided.
On Nov 3rd, I arrived at the Atlanta/Acworth! Siegel Select hotel. The woman behind the desk, after serving some others, greeted me. I introduced myself and she asked for my ID.
She started typing on her computer, while she was typing we conversed. I mentioned that I would be paying for 2 weeks, but I would have to return to North Carolina, but wasn't sure when that would be. She kept typing and asked me how I was going to pay, if with cash or card. I said "card." She said that the first payment would have to be with cash.
I asked about using my debt card. She said "no" I would have to get cash, and asked me who I backed with. I told her it was an out of state bank. She mentioned the Chase band and another location that had an ATM and told me to go and get the cash.
She confirmed what amount she thought I should get. And, I left in search of the ATM. I came back, waited for my turn and she took my ID again, then asked for the cash. I gave it to her, she said that computer was acting up again.
She told me to try the console, and press the 'GEARCO' tab, but nothing happened. So, she said that she would have to call IT again. She was calling IT when I left the first time. So, after entering my ID and taking the cash 2 week payment, and my not being able to get onto the computer, she told me that she would bring me agreement.
On Tuesday, Nov 4th, the cleaning lady brought me the agreement, which had already been initialed with my initials. Before this time, I never say the agreement. I put on my shoes, left the room to walk to the office, and the cleaning supervisor said that the woman behind the desk wasn't in yet, it was a few minutes after 9am. I waited a few hours and then walked down to the office.
The cleaning lady was on the stairs near the office and I said hello and walked into the office. There was someone else discussing some sort of over charge on her account. I turned and told the cleaning supervisor that I would be leaving at between 1-2am in the morning on Thursday, and asked what I should do about the 2 room cards. The cleaning supervisor said that I should just leave them on the dresser.
I also asked about the refund for the 11 days I wouldn't be there. She said that company never refunds money. I went back into the office with the cleaning lady, and when it was my turn, the cleaning lady said to the woman behind the desk that I was inquirying about a refund and that she had already mentioned that refunds are not done. The woman behind the desk reiterated that refunds are not given.
She received a call while talking to me, and she said that it was her boss, and she would ask her boss about options. She said that should would call me. Well, Tuesday morning and afternoon and evening went by without the call. Wednesday, Nov 5th, she did not call me, I went be the office twice and the closed sign was up and never came down.
I went out and came back, sat in the room still waiting for the call. I think between 3-3:30pm I finally went down to the office. The closed sign was still up, but someone sleeping in their car in front of the office said that the woman behind the desk forgets to turn it around to show that the office was open. He said to try the door.
I did and it was unlocked and she was sitting behind the desk. I walked up to the counter and asked what decision had been made, and she said that the company doesn't do refunds. I asked her if I couldn't get a refund because of the signed agreement. She said "yes".
I said good, because, I never saw the agreement and so the agreement that she had was a forged document. I never completed the agreement b/c the console wasn't working so I never saw it to enter any information on it. So, I am not obligated for anything I never signed. She said I am still obligated since the company has a no refund policy.
She said that she would check the camera to see who completed the agreement, I said good. Because, if it has audio, it will show that you kept telling me that you would have to call IT to fix it. I never saw the form. She said that I should have told her that I would be shortterm there.
I told her that I don't know what she considers shortterm, but the poster, which I pointed to says stay daily, weekly, or monthly. She said that didn't apply to all locations. I said "well you should have mentioned that when you were checking me in." I read that poster on Monday while you were serving other people. If you would have gone over the agreement with me before telling me to go and get my cash payment, taking the cash payment, then not showing me agreement, but telling me you would bring me the agreement.
I thought you were bringing me something to read, I didn't know that it was something that I would be initialing and signing. She had said that I would have to sign something on the console, but I didn't know what. I have stayed an multiple extended stays, and never had to sign a document like that. I told her this.
The point is that the agreement was not filled out by me, and I told her that someone formed that docuement. She asked me if I had vacated the room. I asked her why she was asking about that. Was she offering a refund.
She jumped out of her chair saying that she was through with the conversation. So, before she accused me of anything, I decided to leave the office. I think that there is something very crooked going on here. Any honest person would not have taken cash before explaining the policies of this company.
That should have been done prior to her sending me out of the office the first time to go and get the cash payment. So, I am now out of hundreds of dollars, being lied to by that woman behind the desk who had the audacity to say I filled out a form that I never saw. No, this is wrong. I paid in cash $720.00, for a bill that was $715.07 for 14 days, and she kept the change as a credit.
I will only have stayed 3 nights. And, while typing this document, the woman behind the desk called and said she would speak to her regional boss and have that person review the camera. She mentioned the camera a few times, but I could tell she said it as a warning or threat. I said good, because if the camera has audio, it will prove that I never to saw the agreement and she even tried to get to the screen but couldn't and said again that she would call IT.
And, again she never told me prior to that Tuesday, Nov 4th, that the company had a no-refund policy.
Someone from from corporate contacted me while I was typing this statement. They had me confirm my statement, and said the information would be sent to the head office management.

When I first moved in, I was assisted by a friendly worker named Archy. All the other workers were Mexican and very rude.
I would come up there with questions, and the manager would talk over me and get mad when I talked over her. She kicked us out over false allegations, and now I am not able to rent another suite elsewhere. I have a family with nowhere to go because this lady discriminated against me, disrespected me, and lied. This is what these suites offer; this is how they treat you.
Then, you can't reach any supervisors or anything. I have a voice recording of how the GM talked and handled the situation, also saying she has video proof which she couldn't provide.

Verified Reviewer |Poor customer service
I recently sent a review on this company and once I communicated through the proper channels I wanted to give an update for my stay with this company. I spoke with regional management and then I talk with the manage at the Barlett location.
He apologized for his attitude towards .e when I acquired a copy and estimated date for my room's toilet pressure and my cable blackout issues. Since then I have recorded a list of events as seen below.
May 30 - I complained about what I felt was unprofessional and unfair acts of the manager. In my opinion a manager should not be mad at a customer wanting to get a Etd on maintenance issues. Not to mention getting a meltdown from his coworker for asking for a receipt for stay charge.
The regional manager Mrs Goldman ask for a emailed copy of the temporary receipt that was signed with the receptionist fake signature. Honestly I only mention it after they ignored my maintenance request.
May 30 afternoon I get no call but a knock at the door and an older guy and black female ask to enter to check my toilet and TV. He replaced what he explained as a valve on the toilet. The manager apologize at the same time stated the excuse is that he is the only one fixing repairs at the hotel.
He almost stated like it was my info to know, or I can help that issue. No one could explain reason for the cable blacking out randomly, long minutes to short up to three times a week. No outages on record locally during these cable blackouts. As the manager ask to speak with me outside ...is 4 random neighbors that rarely speak to me came out of their room in sequence and waved to me.
Lol. Then most walk around and immediately went back to their rooms.
May 31 I walk to the front desk to pay for room extension. After having issues with Wells Fargo card charging previously at a store, Now My USAA card was declined. I politely told the manager at Siegel Select that it is a mistake I will call the bank.
After the rep over the phone kept asking me to verify recent transactions I explain ma'am these transactions are not fraudulent and there is no suspicious activity that I am worried about. The account look fine. She then placed me on hold to talk to fraud department ("you got to be kidding me"). I ended hanging up the phone when I return to the front desk, Lexi had returned to the front desk.
She told me I needed to pay additional fee since it is passed 12:00 pm. Just to be clear the is a extended Stay in which I paid over $ 1200 dollars to sofar. They were acting I just check in for the first time. She told me to wait then told me She needed to help the next customer, a young adult gentlemen came in look at me with a smirk and said how's it going?
Im great." He then talks to her for a couple mins and then a girl about the age of 13 walk up to me and rolled her eyes. The adult lady look straight and started talking to Lexi (front desk receptionist.) like she didn't notice her daughter taunted a grown man in a very small office. I asked the little girl while looking at the adult women with her "hay sweetie I'm sorry do you need something on the counter over on this side?" She then just turn toward her mother and shook her head no while looking on to her mother eyes.
- June 1 I was up to hearing noises of some one stumping on the stairs in place. A strange guy and a women closing a white caravan talks in front of my window past 1:00 o'clock in the morning.
They both pretend to ignore me then the white male looks directly at the camera of the phone shakes his head and walks around the corner out of my camera site.
- June I started notices I could barely get phone signal in my room all of a sudden the next morning. I noticed software synced to my Google account in Google manager. There was a couple of unrecognized software installed. I deleted them.
Now with a debit card I can't use hungry with a headache, I went for a jog in the morning when as soon as I walk out of the room to enter the parking lot, a white SUV speeding around the hotel parking lot comes within inches of rolling over my toes. That makes the second speeding car threat the same week on the same block. Go figure.
Bonus never before mention activity.
A old man started up a convo with me talking about all the ailments he has with his bad health. He seemed very depressed.
He then took a swig of liquor and placed it in his pocket. A couple days later I go to the laundry room around the corner. At the corner of my eyes I see a heavyset guy outside the window of the laundry space near my room. As I walk out I see my next door neighbor he then reaches out his hand to shake mines.
I noticed he didn't have the arch in his back that he had the other day. He gave me a firm left handshake and smile weirdly (OK). HE ASK WHAT I was doing I told him there is a game on he smile and walking off like he had never had surgeries or internal issues they he once complained about.
Now that was weird. I went out later that day and a coming in to the hotel parking lot blows the horn before I left the side walk to enter their path Now that's weird.

Verified ReviewerThreaten by a manager
The first few weeks of checking in I witnessed the toilet not flushing, cable being off for hours at a time and other harassment I would spend hours explaining. The last addition needed to the situation was a manager with an attitude about unresolved complaints.
The manager could not even describe an official complaint and response system in place.
Instead of finding solutions and given estimated time of fix he threatened to kick me for questioning a paid service. You have been warned.

- Bad customer and maintenance service
- Noisy intermittent utility outage after paid surcharges

In elementary school, we learn not to talk over people. It seems like YOU were the rude one.
You have nowhere to go because you cannot behave in public. That is why your family has no where to go, because of YOU. This was NOT discrimination.
You cannot just behave like a toddler and claim "discrimination" when they kick you out. I feel bad for your family for being kicked out because you cannot behave like an adult.
