Missing item from pre-ordered 4k UHD release

Both phone numbers provided were auto answered and in no way, shape, or form allowed any further assistance or communication.

Update: 03/21/25

Almost a month now, and I haven't seen or heard anything from Shout / Scream Factory.

They could have fixed this issue very quickly if they had chosen that path. However, they didn't! I can barely put into words how beyond let down, utterly dissatisfied, and terribly disappointed I am with this once awesome company. How low they have fallen.

Perhaps a might too big for their britches! Please consider treating your long-time customers with a little more dignity by making them feel a little more valuable!

User's recommendation: Shout Factory / Scream Factory are such an extreme disappointment in the customer service department! I've been a customer for 20 years now, and I have such a hard time wrapping my head around their unwillingness to work with me. I would recommend purchasing your physical media releases elsewhere.

Maybe you should be loyal and buy direct from Shout Factory. Don’t misrepresent them or question them not providing fair and integrity-oriented customer service when you aren’t even on their field of play.

You chose Walmart over them. Deal with Walmart.

If you’re going to post twice in five days, tell the whole story the second time also. You went through Walmart’s online site and not directly with Shout.

You already stated their response was no extras when third party sellers are used.

Your attempt at a false narrative here by omission of previous facts is terrible. Do better.

Shout factory has doubled & tripled down on not making a 1 time exception for me because I bought one of their items from a third party seller. I'm done with them.

I emailed them with my concern two separate times. On both occasions they let me know that they were absolutely, positively not going to assist me in any way whatsoever. Actually somewhat rude about it, in my opinion.

I pre-ordered an item from Shout Factory via walmart.com. I didn't purchase directly from Shout Factory, because I had a substantial credit with Walmart.

The item was a 4k UHD movie. For major physical media collectors such as my self, we expect pre-ordered Shout Factory titles to arrive with an accompanying "slipcover" for said 4k title, mine did not. Initially Walmart appeared as if they would be able to rectify the situation. However, after several weeks it was apparent that it was for some reason "out of their hands?".

I have been a long time customer of shout/ scream factory. Almost 20 yrs now, so when I contacted them I thought for sure they would lend a helping hand.
Well, boy was I wrong! After contacting them via email twice now. I was told that they very recently used to accommodate purchasers from 3rd party seller's.

But that their policy concerning that just changed. That they will no longer accommodate 3rd party retailers.
I asked if they could please, just this once, make an acception. As I have been a long time faithful and loyal customer. Only for them to respond 2 separate times now with a "canned answer" telling me to essentially go pound sand!!!
Wow, what an utter disappointment!

What ever happened to customer loyalty and being grateful for long, long time customers?

All I wanted was a piece of cardboard with artwork on it, that slips over my 4k disc. Really shouldn't be too much to ask for in my opinion.
Sadly, I will never purchase from them ever again.

Loyal customers don’t use Walmart as a go-between. Credit or not.

I’m sure you could have used the credit in the future.

Shout made less profit by you going through Walmart. Think about it.

User's recommendation: Shout is right. Extremely poor customer service. It doesn't appear to exist. Purchasing from them will likely cause you to shout in dissatisfaction.
