Audience in the Millions, readers are less than 100

Wanted to put in ad in a local magazine my friend had a photo published in. They sent out a media kit saying they had over 1 million reach for potential customers.

Turns out they were counting every member of every Facebook group they had joined as their audience. They also tried justifying the fact that their Facebook page gained 10,000 Likes in a week as a surge in product buzz rather than a simple purchasing of likes. Also, they tried to say their total page read count was the amount of readers they had.

1 person looking at 60 pages is not a reader count of 60!

Best part, they tried to bill me for the ad anyways because they started to put together the ad for me when I initially said I was interested to know more. Despite the fact that they offer free ad design they tried to charge me for a service I never signed for or even agreed to.
