Firstly, I do NOT write bad reviews lightly and think this is going to be both the worst and longest I have ever written. It is just too expensive to be bought in error This bed is absolutely NOT the bed I slept in at the Fallsview Marriott in Niagra Falls and my 20 year old mattress was better...wish I had laid on this awful bed before I let them take my old mattress. It is impossible for me to understand the high reviews it got...perhaps they are Marriott or Jamison employers posing as customers although SleepLikeTheDead.com said 93% were satisfied. I do not get it at all...maybe they got different beds than I did. I had to use 2 one inch "eggcrates mattresses" under the synthetic pillow top mattress topper (also bought from Marriot and NOT soft or very thick and most likely not the same Marriott uses in their rooms) and one 1.5 inch Beautyrest foam topper with cover (excellent product) and finally a 3 inch mattress topper/protector bought elsewhere and it is finally comfortable. I kind of "built my own mattress" but if I was going to do this I could have picked up a much cheaper bed at a store with free delivery. I spent over $400 for these things to build up the bed. I got the bed on sale for $1200 (full) plus $100 shipping but, adding in all it took to make the bed even possible to sleep upon, I should have gone for a $2000 set at a store. DO NOT TRUST HOTEL SITES THAT CLAIM TO SELL THE HOTEL BED> WORSE YET< NO RETURNS> I loved the experience I had with the Marriot bed for three nights at the hotel but, again, it cannot possibly be the same bed although it is made through the same company (Jamison). Concierge are either all liars or deliberately misinformed by management. (I spoke to 3 before buying who assured me it was the EXACT same bed) and one after who claimed it was the EXACT same bed but not slept in enough to soften. Exact same bed? BS...pure and simple. I am not ***. This is not the same Marriott bed or the same topper you have slept upon at their hotels. I like a fairly firm mattress covered in about 3 inch of foam (not memory foam but "eggcrate" material) which I knew I would do from the get go but my existing pad did NOT do it so I had to spend hundreds to make up for it with other products and my bed is ridiculously high off the ground. I used the Marriott topper to lay over my original eggcrates as a "protector" as that is all it is good for. Anyway, unless you like to sleep on wood I would NOT buy this bed. I always try to write the best review possible and I like Marriott hotels but, after this, I will not stay there again on principle even though THAT was a good experience if pricey. The bed thing seems to be a racket with Jamison or, to not disparage them, definitely through Marriott's ShopMarriot site. Great delivery service but it was local and had little to do with them. I intend to post this review everywhere I can think of since a big company like that screwing with customers is just reprehensible. SHAME ON YOU MARRIOTT
I had the exact same problem. I bought a $2,000 king size innerspring mattress because I was told it was the same as the courtyard bed I slept in Providence Rhode Island for 4 weeks out of the year for 3 years.
When I received the bed, it only took a few weeks and I would wake up with terrible back pains. This was obviously not the same bed I slept in.
And of course there are "No Returns" so now I am stuck and $2,000 poorer. Wish I would have just bought a temper pedic.....
Do not waste your money to purchase the feather/down pillows. They are not the same pillows you sleep on at a Marriott property.
When you return the pillows they will NOT reimburse you for the shipping cost.
You are also responsible for the shipping cost to return the pillows to Shop Marriott. Horrible customer service!!
