My daughter’s dress was falling apart around her at her prom!
My daughter fell in love with a Sherri Hill dress a year ago. We purchased it in November and went back to have it shortened. This past month, as she was getting ready for prom and taking pictures, I noticed a lot of sequins all over the floor. I didnt say too much as I didnt want to upset her. Unfortunately, I got a call from my daughter from the prom. She was in tears saying her dress was falling apart. Big sections of sequins fell off all over the bottom of the dress. What should have been a once in a lifetime memorable experience was ruined. I took the dress back the next day to the retailer where we purchased it and had it altered. I wanted a refund and was refused. My daughter had 2 other events where she planned to where it. Now we were going to have to purchase another dress without much time or funds. The retailer said that this happens a lot with Sherri Hill dresses. I first blamed the alterations as it appeared they just cut off the bottom allowing the sequins to unravel. They said this is how the dresses are made and that it becomes like a ripcord. They blamed the manufacturer and said that we would have to expect this with a beaded dress. While not pleased with how it was altered, I did compare the hem to that of other brands. Most others had a small hem making the sequins and thread holding them more secure. Sherri Hill sequined dresses have a very raw edge that resulted in the unraveling just by walking in it. I will be fighting for a refund for such poor quality design and workmanship. Stay away from these dresses!

My daughter wore her Sherri Hill dress this past Friday, 05/17/19. The dress looked fantastic. My duaghter stained the dress however during dinner. The label on the dress reads no dry cleaining and no spot cleaning. The dress does NOT have any beading. There must be some way to clean this garment properly. Kindly request Sherri Hill contact me to address/resolve.

Senior prom ruined
The zipper in my over $600 Sherri Hill prom dress broke 45 minutes before pictures with my best friends on the day of my senior prom. It was difficult to zip at store and was told " this happens with these dresses". My grandma was able to sew me into my dress but I barely made it to school in time to board bus for prom and missed pictures with my best friends . My make up was ruined because I was so upset. This is my 3rd Sherri Hill dress that I have purchased and mom says she will never buy another for my little sister. So upset and devastated that my perfect day at the end of my senior year was ruined by a defective zipper on an expensive dress.

In the process of getting my daughters dress in which we paid a little over $1000.00, I requested to have a new one ordered I was told there were no more available on line which was a lie they said it was Sherri Hill and their system that was not communicating and that it would be corrected to show the correct amount and size available and STILL has not been updated, they gave me excuses and now they told me that we either have dress altered to fit my daughter or we are stuck with the dress because they will NOT give a refund nor store credit. NEVER again..... Sherri Hill needs to do something about this in order to have happy customers especially with the process of their dresses.

Sherri Hill - Poor Quality Dresses Review from Walnut Creek, California
Sherri Hill does not stand behind the workmanship or quality of their dresses! I had an issued with one of their authorized dealers who either shipped me a fake or sent me a used dress with quality issues! I spoke to Kate at Sherri Hill and she expressed they don't talk to consumers! She didn't care to hear about the authorized dealer that represents them! In addition, when I explained to her all the flaws in this dress, she stated workmanship varies and that doesn't mean it's not authentic! I was amazed and asked to speak to a manager and was transfer to Kim. Kim reiterated to work with their authorized dealer. She stated if they are willing to give me my money back, she couldn't understand the issue! Well the issue is that as a designer and manufacturer, they should be concerned of how their company is being represented! If their authorized dealer is potential selling fakes or floor samples as new and with tags and the product arrives not as sold, the designer/manufacturer should further investigate and perhaps remove this dealer from their program. Fact is they don't care of how they are being represented so beware of buying Sherri Hill dresses as workmanship and quality is NOT their priority and remember they don't talk to consumers or take complaints! What a way to be a reputable designer and manufacturer that holds their authorized dealers accountable?!? Now wonder there are so many fakes being sold out there!
