I am writing a very negative review about UTO sherman travel. I booked a 19 day tour of Thailand in 2022 and gave them $1,190.00 deposit on 20/19/2022 and $300.00 on 11/2/2022.
To date, I never received any emails or any communication from them regarding anything or a reminder to pay the final deposit. Today I called them. They told me that I had missed the final payment on 10/2023, that my tour was canceled, and they would not refund my deposit. I tried asking for a supervisor and was denied access.
Winnie on the phone kept repeating like a parrot "no one is available " she kept me on the phone for an hour. I told her it was my birthday month, that I am disabled and retired. She refused to transfer me to a supervisor and told me that I had forfeited my deposit. Then I heard a click and was directed to a machine to leave a message.
Before leaving a message, a recording said "don't leave a message because we won't hear the message", then a beep to leave a message. Who can understand this? This is the worst company to deal with. Not only they do not send you an email to remind you that full payment is due but they are counting on the fact that you will forget so that they can keep your deposit.
I should have read the bad reviews before I made this reservation.
I should have also read that they are not BBB certified. That should have told me everything!!!
