- - Engine seized at 68,000 miles after Feb 2021 purchase.
- - There were recalls despite paperwork; class action exists.
I purchased a Kia in feb 2021 at 65000 miles engine seized at 68000 The salesmen provided paperwork stating there was no open recalls and there was . There was a class action lawsuit for these vehicles.
Got new engine and got car back. As soon as I got car back it just shuts down on me . Also I had to pay 500 for new barrings not even 90 days after purchaseI took it to Kia 3 05 and they have had it 3 weeks I had to get new instrument panel that was 1050.00 Now they are telling me my computer is burnt up . Not to mention I had to get new oil line gaskets New purge valve New Canuster vent valve and tow and miss work as well.
When I bought the car and called them because it was acting funny they avoided me and ignored me .
I pay 300 a month and 300 insurance and have no vehicle consistently. My car is at Kia and costs are already 1050 and going up
- Schemes lies cheats and dteals
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid this place the salesmen are scams

Sheehan Autoplex - Ford Ranger Review from Hollywood, Florida
- - Listed at $5500; no lower cash offer.
- - Out-the-door price was over $7400 with title and fees.
- - DMV fee: claimed $500; DMV says $225; tax $330.
Was just there today. Looking at a little pickup for $5500.
They wouldn't even consider a lower offer even though I was giving them cash. At this point I decided not to buy it but the sales guy insisted on going through the motions to give me the out the door price. I'm glad he did, haven't had a laugh like that since I was at the improv. With title, tax and dealer prep it was just over $7400.
They assured me that it was $500 for the dmv which is a lie. Checked with dmv and it is $225. Tax is $330. That would be $6055.
That's $1345 profit not including what they're making on the truck itself. This is a vehicle they most likely took in on trade. And if you have any understanding how car sales work they already made money of this truck before they listed it.
They are persistent though. Salesman just called as I was typing this, trying to convince me that this is the best deal for 500 miles around and he's not even making any money off it.
Been buying cars for 40 years and this was the worst experience ever
- - Ricky claimed to be a manager and a price was agreed.
- - Next day the price rose by $1000.
- - Ricky called, became irate, and threatened a review.
Salesman Ricky claimed to be a manager and we agreed on a specific detailed price. When I brought my son back the next day it was now $1000 more than we agreed.
He then wasted a lot of our time which made us unable to make our next appt. at a reputable dealer to see the same car which turned out to have less miles and a lower price. That car sold the next day before we could get there.
When Ricky called to see if I was still interested in over=paying I voice my unhappiness and he became irate and threatened me if I write a review. I will now write as many reviews as possible exposing Sheehan Autoplex's sales tactics for what they are.

Not interested in providing basic items or dealer services with car
- - $998 dealer fee is the highest I've seen.
- - No service records, no info book, broken key, flat tire.
- - Cars are bare bones, often former rentals.
This place charges $998 dealer fee... the highest I've seen in over 40 years.
What comes with that fee: no service records from the original rental car company, no information book, a broken spare key, a flat spare tire, and a management who takes big fees and gives nothing. The cars come bare bones minus the normal things you would expect in a newer car ! I was made to feel that I would get nothing because they gave me such a great deal selling to me a one and a half year old car, when in fact it was a few hundred dollars over the Fair Market Value, and a few thousand over the Trade in price. The lot looks great.
All the cars seem clean, shiny, and newer ( many are prior rental cars )....The sales person was fine. But it does seem at the point of sale that the honeymoon is immediately over. Time will tell if the car is a reject or not. But I agree, the overall culture of this dealership is obviously lacking in customer service and management skills.
One gets the opposite of a warm fuzzy feeling.
I was treated as if I had ripped off the dealership instead of the other way around. I think the original founder would be afraid to show his face if he was alive.
RIPPED OFF
- - -Astrovan claimed 56k miles; actual miles ~156k.
- - -Van had rust and other faults.
- - -Tried to resolve issue; yelled at and told my mechanic was wrong.

Will not stand behind advertised price!
- - Window price for a 2009 Ford F-150 was $21,650, and the buyer has a photo proving it.
- - They would not honor the advertised price and quoted over $25,000.
I visited Sheehan Used cars 4/29/12 to see a 2009 Ford F150 in the lot, window price stated $21650.00
Sales person wrote a quote based on this price presented it to me along with my trade value and total amount financed plus warranty. Called today 4/30/12, They will not honor price advertised!
Truck is now over $25,000.00!
I came in because of the price on the window and I have a picture to prove what was advertised. All they have to do is honor the price and I would purchase the truck today!
Sheehan Autoplex defrauds and makes threats
- - Van misrepresented as 1-owner with no oil leaks, heat/AC, cruise, and stereo; ads promised 14-15 day returns, they delayed calls, and threatened me.
Sheehan preowned represented a van as one owner - lie - no oil leaks - lie - working heat/air - lie- having cruise control - lie - working stero system - lie . . . When called on the problems, took more than half a day to even call back. Refussed to price adjust or accept return dispite all advertising saying you have 14 or 15 days to return.
Even worse, threatened me.
I have spent a small fortune traveling to them, bringing a fraudenlently represented van home. At their request I took it to have problems diagonised. When they where told that it was $3000 in problems, I was threatened. No resolution was offered. They caused me to spend time and money to have the issues identified - they are not even willing to pay for that!!!
RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AS FAST AS YOU CAN.
