Wallace Construction Work Experience Review from Fair Plain, Michigan

This company is a farce ! They owe me 3,000 and refuse to pay . After telling me I would be paid in full he never showed to pay and avoided all phone calls from not only myself but 10 other employees at the same job site . He was hired on from Herman Kittle to do a MISKA job in Niles Michigan and not only can't do the work himself but refuses to pay those who did the work . His wife or girlfriend was extremely rude and unprofessional and tho wrote me the check for the job I completed failed to sign it . The police were involved and witnessed her give me the check as they were trying to pretend they were paying . Never do business with this crook ! I will be taking this to court and will be putting levies on anything that Shawn Wallace own

I also worked on the niles job and also was not paid a dime but was also told he would pay in full ans when i got there he was no where to be found and he stole tools from me when he cowardly suck out without paying any of his employees.he once told me he works all over the united states ripping off people that have familys and bills.some people are trying to make a live honestly.. Wallase construction are not.

Your a thief that helped steal more then 8,000 in tools.ploice report# 16-330..wallace construction will go out of his way to help the workers that work hard,that will not lie and that do not steal off the jobsite.

Non paying employer

Shawn Wallace of Wallace Construction LLC. DOES NOT PAY FOR COMPLETED WORK! He refused to pay me for work I completed then when I went to try to get payment his girlfriend/secretary spit in my face and then had me arrested on false charges. I beat the assault and battery charge with a jury trial because none of her witnesses were there at the time of the altercation yet they all testified to the SAME thing! She should have been arrested for filing false charges but there is not an attorney that will take my case against the prosecuting attorney for filing and falsifying evidence to attempt to build a case where there wasn't one. Shawn Wallace wrote my son a check for 300.00 dollars the day of this altercation and that was the reason I went to try and get some of the money I was owed, I am still owed 2500.00 dollars for the work I completed, he even submitted photos of my work and portrayed them as the other buildings that had been roofed because the illegal aliens he hired could not do work that was up to the standard needed to get payment! It was a government job so I had no idea I would have any issue getting payment for my work. My son also worked on the job and is still owed 2200.00 dollars. This company is a farce and a joke, I know other people who worked on the job with us who didn't receive payment either, if they could afford to file in small claims they would however they also know getting a judgement does not guarantee payment.

I also worked on this same project and am owed a substantial amount of money I agree that Shawn Wallace and his company is a joke I have been in this business for over 30 years and have never seen the blatant disregard for the employees as I have with Wallace construction in my opinion his business license and rights should be revoked. I have one suggestion to add.

File a grievance with the Davis Bacon wage and hour division as this project is a federally funded job and is protected under the Davis Bacon Certified Payroll, if you Do not have a specific contract stating the amount of money for your part of the job than the documented hours that you worked is owed to you at the states documented hourly rate including benefits.

He did the same to me and other employees recently . I have been in contact with MSDA and Herman Kittle and my attourney . Not only did he not pay he commuted fraud by issuing me a bad check
