Shady company!!!!

I purchased a swimsuit on January 26, 2012 for a vacation that was coming up in a week. Since they had "Express Plus Delivery" I decided it was worth it to pay the extra $25 to make sure it was here in time.

When it didn't arrive the day before my vacation my husband called them only to find out that they don't offer any faster shipping. Okay, whatever. They refunded that right away and told us that our package was ready to ship. When it didn't arrive in APRIL we called again and they said basically the same thing.

So we waited. And waited. And waited. It's now 6 months later and NOTHING!

Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy anything from this shady company. How they are still in business is ridiculous!

Warn everybody that you know about this company. They offer great prices for a lot of things but what's the point if you never get them?!?

Another pissed customer

I placed an order an payed to have it shipped out second day when I couldn't find a tracking #I called to find out why they said we do not offer expedi shipping only regular I replayed well you didn't mind taking my extra money for the 2nd day shipping I've called numerous times about my order they couldn't tell me anything this order was placed on jan 29 an I have not received it as of yet this is unexceptable.I have sent numerous emails an called numerous times I've asked for a refund they said point blank they can't refund my money I have to go on the web site an do that myself there is no place on the web site where you can do it this place cared nothing about pleasing a customer

Misrepresented on-line order's status

Ordered swimsuit December 29th 2012. Received no confirmation of order online and phoned a week or so later, followed by at least for other phone calls and received the following explanations/excuses:

(1) We have your order, confirmed information. I asked why I didn't receive confirmation, was told she didn't have access to email account information.

(2) Order is still pending

(3) Order is in process of shipping

(4) System was down in December, order still pending. Told I would receive call within 3 days because I was being "bumped-up". Asked for my patience.

(5) (7th week)The order was put on back order, and there probably wasn't enough inventory to fill order. I could get 15% off next order.

I was consistently given different information. I will not order from this company again.

BEWARE: ShapeFx, Spiegel, Newport News unauthorized charges

I ordered from ShapeFx in December 2011 and never received items. I called at least 5 times and I was assured they'd get my order filled. As others have said, customer service explains the warehouse was relocated but that's a bunch of bull. Upon investigation I realized the parent company Signature Styles is bankrupt.

When I asked I was told they can't cancel my order. I was told a supervisor would call be back. Emails were returned undeliverable. I was assured they didn't have my credit card information on file anymore.

I noticed today a charge was made on 2/19/12 by "SS Newport News" for $11.45. It says it's for a catalog. Not only did I not authorize it, why would anyone buy a catalog from a bankrupt company that won't ship items?

I will have to watch my credit card statement closely from now on. May have to cancel it and get a new number. Highly unethical.

Incorrectly charged for item ordered

ordered from shape fx in january 2012. the item was 88.45 and my confirmation email stated I would be charged 88.45.

My mastercard was charged 220.95. when I called shape fx they 1st told me that the charge was just "pending" and when the item ships, it will be billed correctly. the rep just wanted to get me off the phone. I called back ,spoke to someone else and was told that the problem would be fixed.

After 3 more phone calls, I was told that shape fx didnt have the item so Newport News shipped it, that was the reason for the incorrect charge. I told them have Newport News fix it. after another 2 calls I was told that a refund was submitted and I should see a credit in 3 to 4 WEEKS!! I asked to speak with a supervisor as this was unacceptable, each time I called and wasnt able to.

I submitted complaint e mails which were never responded to , I received a credit on 2-10-2012, but for only 60. not the 132.50 I was owed. Again I called. I was now told, they are only authorized to refund 60.

and another office has to credit me the difference. I was told it should only take a day- today is the 22nd and still no money!!!- This is the worst business I have ever dealt with and should be investigated and shut down

ShapeFx still sending marketing emails everyday!


On December 15, 2011 I placed an order with ShapeFx online and 2 months later I have received nothing.

I have called "customer service" twice in the past 2 months. They are unable to tell me anything about the status of my order. They have NO information whatsoever except that I placed the order.

They should not be allowed to keep selling merchandise that they are not able/willing to deliver. Why are they allowed to keep sending emails urging people to order from them??!!!!

I filed a report with the BBB and suggest you do the same. I will also post this wherever I can to help warn other consumers.

I placed order on 12/18/2011. Never received.

Today date is 1/22/2012. Every time I call they have an excuse...mostly warehouse moved . I've called numerous times. Told there is no one else to talk to.

Finally started finding out what is going on - Bankruptcy - DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. No I've typed 58 words and they want 110 words - nothing more to say except do not order anything from any parent company of Spiegel CO, Newport NEws, Shape FX - you won't get it and you may be charged for it and not get your money back.

I ordered from ShapeFx and my order total is $66.55 but they charged my card for $193.95. I called but they can't tell me when my order will be shipped and told me that my card has not been charged but they did charge my card.

The customer service representative was very rude. DO NOT ORDER for this company!!!


First time I ordered from Newport News (last fall, after about a month, I hadn't received the product; however, they had charged me. After complaining, they sent it to me and refunded the amount I paid (about $10 for a clearance swimsuit).

Last week I ordered from the ShapeFX website and my total came to roughly $100.

My debit card was charged $200+! I called to see what's up and they said they are issuing me a refund which I should expect in three weeks or so. I'm wondering if what I just ordered or the refund will come first- pretty sure they'll both be late. The lady on the phone said the ShapeFX site was created as a 'convenience' and that if I would've ordered the items by going to the Newport News site, I probably wouldn't have run into any issues.

Ummmm, I highly doubt that.

We'll see what happens- I LOVE their clothes, but not enough to risk having the company overdraw my checking account an never getting products. Not worth it.


I am in the same boat. I ordered on 12/14/11 and here it is 1/26/12.

Get the same line regarding the warehouse. It was the first time ordered from them and the last.
