The repair of my 2018 Echo Sport and shabby and inaccurate salesmanship of the 2021 Ford Ranger.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I brought the Echo Sport in on the morning of the 15th of November for an Engine light and an oil light. I was called that afternoon with a man telling me that it was blown engine.

I was told that it would take an engine changeout to put it one the road again. I was told the next morning that the engine would have to be removed, pictures taken and sent to Ford to justify ordering a new engine. After not hearing anything I again walked over to the dealership and was told the same things on Thursday morning while retrieving some personal items and noticed the car had not been moved. I was told that it probably wouldn't be touched until it was taken apart and pictures sent to Ford and then a new motor would be ordered.

I made a decision to trade it for a new Ranger truck as we are on an extended vacation and needed to get out of El Paso ASAP. This was the same thing I was told on Monday except the time for repair to actually start had extended 10 to 15 days. Friday, dealing with the salesman I was refused "A-Plan" as they weren't offered on Trucks. The salesman has the wrong address on the Sales Documents (the Street is 4525 Graham Rd.

not "Gram.") He also informed me that he had sent the new insurance documents to my E-mail address for future downloading. Only now I find myself in Mexico searching for that document(s) only to have called him up with him telling me he gave me those documents with nothing on the internet. I have wasted an entire day arguing with Mexican Immigration about the documentation I have and don't have. They have denied my vehicle entrance into Mexico because of it.

I will attempt to obtain Stateside Insurance tonight via telephone and hope that Shamaley can arrange an address change for the plates. I also didn't get a Temporary Registration Card.

Preferred solution: A-Plan for the truck. Address changed on Sales Documents. Temp Texas Registration Proof sent to E-mail address. Located and forward Stateside Inbsurance docs and forward to Emnail address.

User's recommendation: Don't deal with Shamaley Ford if you're in a rush and/or pressed for time.

Active-Duty Military Taken Advantage Of

My daughter is a young active-duty service member, stationed at Fort Bliss. In early April, she and her young active-duty boyfriend went into the dealership to look at a used Kia that she had seen listed online.

When she arrived at the dealership, she was helped by a salesperson named Travis - after looking online, I'm going to assume that this is Travis York. Travis informed my daughter that the vehicle she was looking for was no longer available, but he had an almost identical vehicle for sale at his home. My daughter and her boyfriend went to Travis's home where a Kia was parked. My daughter and her boyfriend were then told that this was not actually Travis's car.

It actually belonged to a third-party and Travis was just brokering the deal. Both parties came to an agreement on price after both Travis and the seller assured my daughter that the car was in good order, no issues, one owner, etc.

My daughter secured her financing, and Travis scheduled her to come back to the dealership to do the paperwork for the sale.

A month after taking possession of the vehicle, the car began showing severe issues. The car was taken to the service department at the Kia dealership, and was told that not only had this car been in a pretty severe wreck, but the engine was not correctly repaired, and additional damage was inside.

My daughter went back to the dealership and was told by the sales manager, (I'm not sure which one,) that Shamalay Ford was not responsible because they didn't sell the vehicle.

My questions begin with - Why does Shamalay Ford allow it's salespeople to make side deals instead of showing the customer other options at the dealership?

Since the salesperson offered the vehicle at the dealership and had the paperwork done at the dealership, why would this not be a dealership deal?

Is Shamalay Ford encouraging it's salespeople to not sell piece of crap cars through the dealership so they don't have to pay for the repairs?

Why would Shamalay Ford tout it's love for the military, while taking advantage of young active-duty service members?

I know that this is a long post, but I hope this will stand as a warning to others.

2018 F-150 PASSENGER SEAT TORN

I WAS NOT INFORMED THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS TORN AND WHEN I CALLED THE SALESMAN HE INDICATED HE WOULD CHECK WITH MANAGEMENT BUT SAID SOMETHING THAT HAS MADE ME FURIOUS. APPARENTLY THEY NEW THE SEAT WAS TORN WHICH IS WHY THEY GAVE ME DISCOUNT "REALLY" ADDITIONALLY THE BED LINER IS NOT SECURED.

THE VEHICLE HAD 2000 MILES ON IT BUT NEVER IN MY LIFE TIME HAS THIS EVER HAPPEN EITHER SHAMALEY FORD REPAIRS OR REPLACES THESE ITEMS OR I WILL DROP VEHICLE OFF AND SEEK LEGAL ADVISE. DURING THIS BUYING AND AND TRADING TWO VEHICLES OFF HAS ALERTED ME TO BE CONCERNED THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER DETAILED AND THE MATS WERE THROWN ON THE BACK FLOOR AND WAS TOLD TO BRING BACK ANOTHER DAY FOR DETAIL AND FULL TANK OF GAS.

IT HAD A FULL TANK WHEN I LEFT. I ALSO WENT IN TO SPEAK WITH FINANCE THAT MY ADDRESS WAS IN CORRECT AND EVEN THO HE CHANGED IT THE 1ST THING HE TOLD ME WAS TO CONTACT FORD "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE".

Shamaley Ford - Car Diagnostics Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Wow. We had the worst service ever from a Ford Dealership ever.

We also had to deal with the rude and insensitive lying Manny Hernandez. We too paid for "labor" and our truck was not fixed. We had a suspicion about what we were being told about diagnostics that were run but they couldnt privide us with any codes or documentation of them so we did not let them do any work on our truck. We paid for the services by debit card and continued on our way to see our ill family member.

They said they would leave my truck outside the gate as we would be returning after hours to pick it up. And we are from out of state. They said they would do that for us. We returned to pick it up and it was not left outside the gate.

They had us stranded again until they open bavk up on monday. We dont have the truck and trailer or family on Monday!!

These people were never interested in helping out they only wanted us to trade it in...they lied to us more than once and showed no concern for the huge inconvenience the caused us. If i was local I might've been privy to the SHAM reputation of Shamaley Ford.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My experience with Shamaley FORD on Lee Trevino & Gateway West was a nightmare!! I took in my truck for a diagnose.

My truck had an engine sound. The service Rep (Manny Hernandez) did state that there was a problem cuz of the sound it made. I did have an extended warranty but after engine was opened and looked at ,it turned out to be a bent rod. My warranty did cover it but the warranty wanted a cause of failure.

SHAMALEY FORD COULD NOT GIVE THE WARRANTY THAT. They told me they had no clue why the rod bent. I thought FORD had engineers for problems like that. Well after going back in forth for a month...I ended up paying for labor and no truck fixed.

I believe my ordeal was a very stressful event mostly because they (Sal-Service Shop manger & Mr Many Hernanandez) where very rude and very very insensitive!!

Can you believe that not even a car wash was offered to me when my truck was returned when I took in the truck was it was washed and my truck was returned to me outside the dealership not inside the garage area, like everyone else. I will never shop at SHAMALEY again.
