Stayed 2 nights Dec 17 thru 18, 2019. Had 30,000mAh, Dualpow Portable Dual USB Solar Battery Charger External Battery (ORANGE) and Apple iPhone charging cable taken from room while out of room for lunch. Know because had used to recharge iPhone and had left it on desk. Reported to management. Was told no room service that period of time and staff never entered room. Noticed that manual dial thermostat was reset to 65 degrees from the 72 degrees we had left it at before going to lunch. Guess it must have been a green thief. Hotel uses conventional door lock keys with a deadbolt that indicates from outside whether room is vacant. Its green if vacant. Clear signal to anyone with a key to enter. No card key security system in use to monitor room entry. Hotel could install video cameras to improve security as it is only a 2-story single wing structure with room doors exposed and facing parking lot. Room had TV, phone, refrigerator, older style furnishings; parking is ample; continental breakfast provided. Value is based on price; however, it was minus 16 one night and did not appear to be tourist season. Service and reliability could be improved for better guest security for a lodging facility. Thief took $22 device and $10 cable but left $10,000 worth of computer laptops, tablets, and Kindles; and peripheral cables. Mark M. disabled veteran
