I worked for Shaffer trucking g for r 7:years I got hit by another truck and broke my neck now I'm in a wheel chair while the owner of Crete Shaffer is sitting on his throne Shaffer trucking fired me on my wife's birthday saying I was no longer an asset to there owner *** head toms company because I can no longer drive a truck I gave them seven years and I was only late one time on a delivery because there was an accident a mile from the reciever stay away from this company if you have a family they will screw you like they did me I'm about to lose every thing I worked hard for while *** head Tom osterdick keeps screwing the hard working family man you can reach me at 352_478_**** if you have more questions about this bad company they treat drivers like *** worst dispatch out there all they do is push there drivers

Watched a driver weave in and out of traffic on the 80 in a huge box truck cutting people off. Then aggressively going 10-15 miles under the speed limit. This driver should be fired immediately: people entrusted with a vehicle of this size should be vetted bettee

Truck number 838581 ran me off the road on 4/25/22 around 6:15 pm and laughed and shot me a bird when I caught up to get a picture and video. That was very very unacceptable and scary because I almost hit the concrete wall head 1st!!

Me and my kids were scared and devastated!! He did not even attempt to merge over so this is how I know he did it on purpose!

The truck driver moved left, to be in front of me, and nearly hit my red van. About 5 to 10 minutes later, the truck driver tried to move into the far right lane and nearly pushed a black car into the emergency lane.

The truck driver needs more training in using the mirrors, or 2.

The truck driver was tired, or 3. The truck driver has a medical condition that urgently needs to be checked out.

Blew past me doing about 50 in a 30 the. Proceeded to run a red light at a major intersection and almost rear end the compact car in front of him in Jay Maine

This morning at approximately 7:10 AM I watched a Shaffer driver traveling on EB I-94 east of Benton Harbor, MI and the I-196 interchange whip a u-turn across three EB lanes, through a restricted access median cut-through, into WB I-94 at 10-15 MPH with no consideration for the fact that I was there. I had to slam on my brakes to an almost complete stop in the middle of the Interstate and dive for the shoulder to not hit the truck or be rear-ended by traffic approaching from behind.

Truck # 838548. No discernible way to report this on the Shaffer website and no number listed for driver complaints.

Driver needs to learn to read signs CLEARLY posted on the interstate. "No trucks left lane" in busy cities! Don't get pissed and act like you king of the road when people are riding your *** cause you shouldn't be there!!

Driver ran off the road and threw rocks all over my car and a big cloud of dust, almost caused me to wreck my car and chipped my paint in numerous places.

We were driving our family home from a dinner when we went to merge onto interstate 664 in the Chesapeake area of VA. A truck driver in Volvo tractor trailer saw us trying to merge onto the interstate.

He sped up and refused to switch into empty left lane. We had to completely stop in order to get onto 664 and not continue on the exit ramp. There was no need for this.

He needs to pay more attention and be considerate of other drivers. The driver was driving truck number 53101.

Truck 834108 on 4/27/16 nearly took out two cars on 93 South. I tried to call the company to complain but only got somebody who does recruiting who had no answers on who I could call to make a complaint. The driver was very unsafe, it was scary.

I worked for this co until I got sick with high blood pressure (a frequent issue with truck drivers because of the stress, etc). I was trying to get a load home, & dispatch kept offering me loads in the wrong direction. It was a tediously slow argument that ensued over the Qualcomm because they don't take calls. At the end of the day, my fleet mgr called me to suggest I should take a load that would keep me driving all night. I declined. "You can make your log book show in the sleeper & you'd have hours," she said. "Yeah, I could do that. But it wouldn't make me any less sleepy. I've been up all day arguing with you people." I said. She hung up. I was feeling pretty sick after that.

I called the co & told them I was sick. I was told to go to the dr/emergency room.Once there, it was discovered that my bp had skyrocketed. I was sent home.

I secured the truck at the truck stop, with the cooperation of the fuel desk to hold the keys. I put all the keys in a Ziploc bag.

I packed as much of my stuff as I dared try to haul around on foot, because I'd be taking the train from St. Louis to CA. The rest of it would have to stay with the truck till I could come back to work.

When, after I arrived home, it was clear that I wouldn't be returning soon, Crete offered to send my stuff home. I said, Sure, but tell me the shipping costs before you do it. Phone call after phone call got me nowhere. Then they called to say it was being shipped. I said, I don't know how much this is going to be & I can't afford a whole lot. That's why I wanted you to tell me the cost before you shipped it.

It arrived a week later & the delivery driver wanted $300.00 cash for it. There was no way I could pay that. I had to refuse it. Everything got returned to Crete's yard. They had to pay shipping both ways because they didn't bother cooperating with me to ship it in 3 or 4 different segments.

We argued some more. My final pay got shorted because they claimed the trailer lock was missing keys & the kingpin lock was missing. It was all there, but they kept $180 of my money. We got nowhere when I specified exactly what I wanted most for them to ship to me. If they had told me the shipping up front, none of this would have happened. I could have made arrangements for my stuff to be brought home with a family friend who came to CA for a wedding a couple months later. Or they could have put it in a storage facility. Something. Anything! Instead, they wrote an email telling me that all my stuff had been discarded. Trashed.

Uh-huh, I'll bet. Ransacked, I think it would be safe to say. $3000.00 worth of personal belongings, all stolen or destroyed. Some of it irreplaceable. I was devastated.

That's Crete-Shaffer for ya. A bunch of worthless, heartless crooks.
