Credit Card fraud traced back to Shades Broker

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After a online purchase with Shades Broker, which was charged and later canceled by them (due to no stock notice one week later charge), my credit card was then used to make a $2600 purchase with Budget.com. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN, so they can not do this to anyone else. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!

Shades Broker will steal your credit card

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ordered sunglasses for my wife for Christmas. I heard nothing from the company for 10 days - no emails, no phone calls, no status updates of any kind.

I tried calling several times and emailing and only got a voicemail, no call backs. The day before Christmas Eve I finally got through to find out what had happened to my order. I spoke to a very rude "customer service" representative who did not attempt to help me at all, was condescending throughout the conversation. She said the order would not ship until the day after Christmas.

I cancelled my order on the spot.

A few days later I see activity on my credit card from Istanbul.

This is a brand new card and the sunglasses were my first online purchase. I can only presume they leaked/lost/stole my information.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Shades Broker - Poor Customer Service Review

I would not ever recommend Shades Broker. I purchased my husband's anniversary gift on there within plenty of time to receive before our anniversary.

Their email that you receive states that you will receive shipment confirmation within 3 business days. This did not happen AT ALL. I called after 5 days, and I called again, and again and well, a lot, Only to receive a generic voice mail. After 6 days of calling and leaving nice messages, only requesting an update on my purchase, I became fed up.

I read online SEVERAL complaints for this company's poor business dealings, poor quality of their products once delivered and surpirse, how you can never reach anyone through their contact info given on their website. We were just two days away from our anniversary and I left a message demanding they cancel my order sinice I was treated so poorly and they didnot hold up to what their end of the purchase was I never received a call back, but, the next day I received an email with a tracking number for the glasses. They arrived WAY late and needless to say, I have told everyone I come across this awful experience and to stay clear of this website . There Is absolutely no excuse to take almost 20 days to process an order you claim to have in stock and that you say will ship within 3 days.

Then, to make matters worse, when you clearly know your customers are very unsatisfied, you disregard returning their CALLS AND REQUESTS. Very poor customer service and a very disappointing experience.

One red flag should've been how they do not seem to have a place to leave feedback. Just Google them and you will see complaints with the BBB and various other customers that were left with a very bad experience.

SHADES BROKER IS A SCAM

Ordered a pair of expensive sunglasses at what I thought was a discounted price. Waited over 20 days to receive them only to find that they were used, defective, had rust on the hinges, and a weird cake like substance embedded in the front emblems and at the bottom of the lenses, not to mention that they looked like a counterfeit product.

The sunglasses didn't even come in any original packaging or with any documentation. They would not accept a return without charging a 20% restocking fee and expected me to pay for return shipping!!

They are NOT authorized dealers for the brand that I ordered and I'm sure that they aren't for all the other brands they are scamming people on. DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ORDERING FROM THESE PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTISTS.

I am discovering that most of these websites for sunglasses and eyeglass frames are the same scam. Multiple sites owned by the same person, created by a Domain by proxy site, that don't actually have any frames in stock, and won't refund your money when you ask them too.

You can add OpticStyles.com, Iloveglasses.com, and Popular Optics to your list of places that you are gambling your money with if you order from them. I didn't get mine and am having to dispute the charge with my card company.

Guest

Thank you for the heads up. I was just about to buy an expensive pair of glasses from them. You may have just spared me a lot of grief.

Guest

thanks! Just saved me a headache!

Guest

It took them 3 weeks to send me a pair of goggles! Horrible service!

There is no customer service either.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SITE.

Guest

Thank you so much! Was just looking into shades/frames broker. Appreciate your feedback tons

Guest

Thanks for the review. I would stay away from them.

Guest

I'm glad I was able to save at least one person from ordering from this company. Hopefully more people will look at the reviews for shades broker before they purchase.

I don't have the sunglasses anymore.

I wish I had written down the serial number. I ended up returning them to my credit card company and getting the majority of my purchase price refunded to me.

Guest

Thanks a bunch for the reviews. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I was prepared to order expensive frames through Framesbroker but thought it best to check them out as much as possible. I found they also operated under Shadesbroker. I checked with both Google Checkout and PayPal to see what protection I had.

Like you say, it appears I would get my money back but would likely be charged that excessive restocking fee. Again, thanks, you saved me from making a big mistake.

If you still have the product, please look at the inside of the frame and publicly post ALL numbers you can see there. One of them may be a serial number that can be traced to the "real" dealer.

Shadesbroker (aka Framesbroker) use proxy servers and all sorts of deception to hide who they really are. But serial numbers don't lie.

DO NOT buy from shades broker

everything about the experience was awful and unprofessional. i ordered glasses, they took weeks to arrive and decided to exchange them for another pair.

their policy allows this. i sent the original pair back with an email and note detailing the new ones i wanted. after weeks, they said the new pair was unavailable - yet it remained on their site (and is still on their site today). they charged me a 20% restocking fee even tho i only returned the original pair based on the representation that i could get the new pair.

i will NEVER shop there again.

EVER. and neither should you.

Shades Broker is a joke.

Four days after ordering a pair of sunglasses from shadesbroker.com I recieve an email stating the pair I wanted were on backorder. I picked out a similar pair a

Instead of waiting the 1-2 weeks for the backordered pair.

After waiting almost 2 weeks to get a pair of sunglasses that were supposed to ship in 3-4 business days I first get a phone call because my address was showing invalded. I explain to them that it is a newer address and that I have never had an issue with recieving items i have ordered online.

About 30 minutes later I get an email saying they cancelled my order. The next day I'm checking my bank transactions and see that they still charged me for an order they cancelled!

This comment just caught my eye, and I simply have to respond to it. This is clearly the case where people who have nothing better to do in their lives and have access to internet trash companies.

You can always dispute with your credit card company and get your money back when something is wrong with your order. Also, credit card is usually charged after the item is shipped.

No one can charge you for something you never received.Credit Card companies would never allow something like that or they would lose their credibility. People get a life!

Consumers have the right to express their bad experiences. Everyone on this earth will/has experience negative customer services , fraud and/or lied too.

This has happened to me a few time with vendors. Yes, a person can dispute purchases with their credit card company and this kind of unethical practices happens at times. For you say these people have nothing to do is completely wrong and if this did happen ANYONE has the RIGHT to put this COMPANY on BLAST.

Myself never purchase from this vendor. THANK YOU FOR INFORMING ME ABOUT this COMPANY!!

Shades Broker is a rip off

Ordered a pair of discounted (compared to mall prices) sun glasses on December 6 from Shades Broker on-line. Then I waited and waited and waited.

Finally by December 23 I realized they may not be coming for Christmas as I'd never even been sent a shipping order etc. E-mailed to cancel the order so I could run back to the mall to buy them and was told I'd have to pay a hefty cancellation fee of $35. Contested that with my credit card company but still had to pay. Supposedly it was in some fine print somewhere on the website.

Shady business dealings from a shady company. Not sure if they sell bonafide glasses but I'm guessing they don't fill orders until they have a big parcel to contract from somewhere else.

Or maybe they don't have glasses at all and only make money charging the $35 rip off fee to everyone. STAY AWAY FROM SHADES BROKER

Buyer beware! Lousy return policy may be the way to scam Unsatisfied customers.

Buying eyeglasses on line is probably not the best way to go if you need a perscription. Readers are okay, but with Frames Broker's.policy, if you get a pair that you can't use, as I did, you are out of luck because you are going to pay for mistakes that you are not responsible for with no recourse if the replacement lenses are no better than the first.

As the fees rack up, shipping and restocking (BS), you may as well buy from one who stands behind the product particularly when defective. Shop for glasses elsewhere!
