Paid SAM GIEBELHAUS $5,000 on October 30, 2023 to build a motor and transmission, but we NEVER RECEIVED OUR MOTOR. DISHONEST MAN/FRAUD .
We have done nothing wrong but put our trust in him to help rebuild the truck my dad left my son. MANY ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO RECOVER OUR MONEY/MOTOR WITH HIM, BUT HE HAS NOT DONE WHAT IS RIGHT. WE ARE SADDENED HE CHOOSES TO DO BUSINESS LIKE THIS AND DO THIS TO THE CUSTOMERS THAT CHOOSE HIM. He took the dream of my son driving the 1986 truck his grandfather left him his senior year.
We truly gave him our time, trust, patience and money but HE TOOK ADVANTAGE.
NOT TRUSTWORTHY. I HOPE MY EXPERIENCE/WORDS CAN HELP YOU.

I AM FEARFUL THIS SHOPAY HAVE DISMANTLED AND SOLD OR SABOTAGED MY VEHICLE! I CANT EVEN GET A RETURN CALL OR MESSAGE! HE HAS TOTALLY STOPPED RESPONDING!
Promised it would be completed in one day, 3 months ago! I have paid for everything in advance and even ordered more parts because owner Sam Giebelhaus, owner continues to lie and decide a 100% disability retired vet!
He's given me so many promises dates for completion all lies and deception! I explained to the owner Sam Giebelhaus, what and how I wanted my truck to be completed, NEVER did Sam Giebelhaus indicate there would be any complications, until he had my money, truck and over 10,000.00 dollars in automotive parts! I WANT MY VEHICLE RETURN RUNNING AND DRIVING PERFECTLY AS HE PROMISED! I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO LIVE OFF DISABILITY PAY , RENTING VEHICLES AND UBER!
RENTALS ALONE I HAVE OVER 5K DOLLARS IN, I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA SO EVERY UBER RIDE IS 100 DOLLARS ROUND TRIP!
MY DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS, BLOOD WORK, THERAPY ALL REQUIRE ME TO BE MOBILE! SAM I WANT MY VEHICLE RETURNED RUNNING AND DRIVING PERFECTLY AS PROMISED!!!
SG Performance has had my truck for over 3 months, I've been promised day after day , it will be ready for pick up next week, tomorrow, Friday, every excuse Sam Giebelhaus owner , can come up with! I've had to rent vehicles for do appointments, bloodwork therapy and so on!
Sam has now stopped returning calls and responding to messages!
I've paid over 12000 dollars , with promises, if I buy these special parts, it will allow SG Performance to complete my vehicle quicker!
All have been lied.
I cannot afford this lifestyle with rental cars or Uber from where I live the cost is 100 dollars round trip all while living off disability pay! I need and want my vehicle running and driving perfectly like promised several times!

In a similar boat Same issues here. Constant lies, continued failing to update me at all of what’s going on even after calling him out on his crap.
Seriously. If he was just honest for once and said “ I haven’t worked on it yet “ or say what’s actually going on even a “ haven’t figured it out yet “ I would be far more patient.
But it has gone on long enough. I do have my own theory primarily it looks he probably is a good mechanic given the caliber of cars he’s worked on and those cars not having issues as I did dig around However his time management and communication are absolutely atrocious.
