Resolved: Poor Customer Service

AI Highlights
  • - Tire warning 4/11/20; screw in left rear.
  • - Tire couldn't be fixed; $300 replacement; car had 2,790 miles.
  • - No tire insurance; Infiniti gave no discount.

I leased a QX50 on 3/14/20. The tire low- light went on 4/11/20.

The soonest I could bring the car into the dealer was the following Saturday. I live .5 miles to my office and walk to work. I put 133 miles from the time I drove off the lot to the time I drove back onto the lot with a screw in the left rear tire. Tire couldn't be fixed as I was told and I purchased a new $300 tire.

Of course I didn't purchase tire insurance because it was very costly for a car that is going to sit in the garage the majority of the time. I was dumbfounded that Infinity gave me zero break on the cost of the tire.

Not prorate, no discount, nada. I'm guessing the screw was there when I purchased the car as it already had 2790 miles on it.

Loss:
$317
Pros:
  • Service
Cons:
  • Drive off the lot warranty
  • Company tire warranty for less than 200 miles

Preferred solution: Price reduction
