- Use the insurance for small issues, since big claims may be denied.
- We were denied service to identify the problem after 25 years of coverage.
They have instructed me on how to use their service. When sewage backs up, I must call SLWOFA and have them call a plumbing service, and hope the service comes out quickly before the awful sewage smell permeates our entire house.
I have written this as a heads-up to other consumers using this service, not to complain so much as to provide guidance. Had I known they needed a history, I could have called them at least 4 other times, but didn't because I thought the issue wasn't big enough to justify calling insurance.
If you have the above insurance, use it for even little stuff, because when something bigger occurs, theyll deny service because of a lack of history.
We called for service, but were denied service to identify the problem, stating we hadnt used their service to develop a history with them. (Note - we have paid for coverage for over 25 years)
To enable use of their service, we must allow sewage to back up into our basement multiple times, call the insurance each time, and wait for them to schedule a plumber of their choice to develop a history.

- Paid the bill the week it arrived; a new bill came a month later.
- After 2+ months and 7 calls, the account is suspended and unresolved.
I paid my bill the same week I received it. A month later I received another bill.
For over two months and 7 phone calls I have been trying to resolve this issue, even sent proof of payment and then cashing the check. Their customer service keeps giving me the runaround. Saying they will call back and they never do. They basically took my money for the year and suspended my account.
I have names, dates and times I have called.
Always someone is going to call me back. Going on 3 months now and the problem is still not resolved.

- I had sewer coverage and could use my contractor with reimbursement after proof.
- Bids were 18k-25k; I did the work, paid, and sent docs.
I had external sewer line coverage. When my sewer line to the sewer main needed to be replaced, I called and was told I could use my contractor and would be reimbursed if I provided proof the work was actually done and fully paid for.
I got bids for $18,000 - $25,000, did the work, paid for it and sent in all the required documentation. Now they are telling me their subcontractors would do it for $3200 and that's all they are willing to pay me.
