Drop my car off on 5/19/2021 to have the brake bleed. Dexter Taylor ASM let me know that the Anti-Lock abs actuator was the wrong part for the car and that his mechanic was 100% positive.
I let the ASM know the part was brand new and came from the Lexus Dealership. Dexter wrote me a contract saying it would be $3000 to fix my car entirely with their part, and they would give me back the wrong part. After a lack of communication from the ASM, I received the part, and it's the wrong part. Now the head mechanic looks at the car and said that was the right actuator, but I need two more parts to go with it and the price will be 4240.70.
5/26/21 I made several attempts reaching out to the service director Matt Patterson and CRM Megan Barnes, no return call back until 6/1/2021 when I email a complaint. Now Matt tells me I had to pay $2073.70 upfront for the parts for them to work on the car. I paid the $2073.70 and now no one will give me a date on when the car will be ready. Dexter and Matt have hung- up on me soon as they hear my voice and will not return my calls or emails.
I was neglected in this situation, and it brought about an emotional and financial hardship upon me and my family. After, having my vehicle towed to Serra Toyota, I rented a vehicle to continue my daily routine. I thought it would only take a day or two for this service. I have inconvenienced myself because I was bringing my car to a place that I trusted.
Furthermore, I am being treated with no concern, neglected, lack of veneration, unfairness, mercilessness, and a victim. I am being preyed upon with quotes for my car that don't make sense. Matt and Megan told me it's company policy 99.9 percent of the time for the customer to pay for their parts upfront, if this company policy, then what are the qualifications for the 1.1 percent not to pay upfront?
Megan let me know if I was to give a review she will be the one responding back, I don't know if she thought that was supposed to intimidate me or what? I have documents of everything I'm saying.
Serra Toyota has no integrity.
Serra Toyota makes this right.

Verified ReviewerI would not recomend them.
I was very upfront with what I was willing to do . I was willing to walk away especially when I had an emergency come up.
Th kept harassing me with emails. My sales person kept trying to get me into some sort of CBD oil selling scheme telling me they will even may for a car for me. What on earth. Hard to take anything seriously.
They do not operate like any dealership I have dealt with before. I had to practically beg them to stop emailing me since they knew what I could do and nothing more. They tried to get some urgency going by setting up some sort of bidding war or something with another female custumer I was told. no thanks I want nothing bad enough to play games.
I told them this was hard on me from the start and they had no concern other then themselves no surprise there. Had me sign all contracts and doc before I even test drove the car since it was all worked out and was fine till I was ready to take it home. It was on the lift .. run away especially if your a women.
For the record... Yes I could have put more down..
but when you tell me one thing and keep changing it trust is over. deal done.

Horrible experience on Parkway Serra Toyota
I had been there several hours waiting on sales rep then spent longer waiting on financing to see me in order to sign paperwork as he played around with other employees loud talking, horse playing changing clothes in the restroom just entirely unprofessional and no ethics in the selling of those vehicles.
Extremely extremely unprofessional! Sold me a car I was unable to test drive.
One sales rep claimed they were replacing one part while his brother said it was another part. Sat up there over 6 hours, purchased car insurance for the vehicle and still didn’t end up getting it. Never saw the Carfax of the car they were trying to sell me so I paid for one online and it was practically a lemon. They are very unprofessional and if you insist on going there make sure you have a lot of time to waste and take someone knowledgeable of cars because they will sell you anything.
Worse mistake I could’ve made. Waste of time and money.
Dealers Fraud
I'm paying Premium for a used car with a "clean history " The Salesman deceived me by stating that the car had a clean history and went over the Autocheck report showing that the car was clean, However, the car has been involved in an accident prior to my purchase and has structural damage. The Salesman refuses to resolve issue.

I saw a 2011 Toyota Camry on car guru 7/30/2018 and request a test drive. I set an appointment up for 7/31/2018 at 9:30 am.
I get a call from Raphaelle
Wehby ask me could I come at 9:45 instead of 9:30. I ask Mrs. Wehby is the 2011 Toyota Camry In stock, she said yes. In a 24Hrs time, I got 2 e-mail and five phone call from Mrs.
Wehby about my appointment. The Camry was listed at 3,995 Stock # 171703R on 7/30/2018. Five mins. of my arrival, I get another call from Mrs.
Wehby checking to see if I still coming. I get there in the used call lot building and ask for Mrs. Raphaella and were told that I was a V.I.P customer what a joke. Mrs.
Wehby told me to wait while she gets the car so I could test drive it. Twenty minutes later she tells me she can't find the car. Ten mins later she tells me the car is in service but it has no transmission fluid. ( So no one checks the cars before putting it on sell on car guru?) So she asked what I was trying to spend and I told her under five thousand.
I give her two more stock numbers of the cars I would like to see and still no result so I just left. What a waste of time.
I had ten thousand in cash and a fifteen dollar cashier check and couldn't get any good help. Now I'm at the house looking for more cars and see the same car and stock# for $10,800 that why she couldn't find it they jacked the price up.
Stop harassment
I was planning to purchase another car for Serra. However, due to overwhelming pressure from one of your salesmen I doubt I’ll buy from Serra again.
He called 7x in a row, emailed and texted me all day. I informed him that I was not ready yet and was just looking around until I’m able to buy. He still continued to call and when I point blank said stop calling; he said he would call back on Monday. This has caused me to change my mind and I will get the car somewhere else.
Just because I’m a women doesn’t mean I’m going to allow someone to push me into something. This is harassment.
Threaten Customers
If you write a negative comment about them, an manager will contact you and make a veiled threat that if you don't change your comments, they will be "resolve the situation". If you don't change it, another manager will contact you and make another veiled threat.

Refund of deposit on car purchase
In dealing with Serra Toyota in Birmingham, Al., the salesman(Tommie Dill), came from MSRP, to internet special(not really), then to a price that we could negotiate. Mr. Dill gave an offer of $30,266, after which I
asked the usual question,"Can you help me any more?" He went to the sales manager, came back and told me the sales manager had agreed to 'Comp' the addition of the Premium HDD nav. system to the car. (I
had told Mr. Dill previously in an email, that I was not willing to pay the $2000+ for the Prem. HDD sys.) The offer with the upgraded nav. system made a reasonable deal and I agreed to consider the $30,266 for
the car. I had used 'Consumer Reports' "Build and Buy" online car pricing guide to get an idea of what to expect to pay. I received many offers from various dealerships, including the three following estimated prices,
for the exact same car(without the Premium HDD nav. sys.) From TRUECar.com, the price was $27,781. From USAA, the price was $27,681. From Consumer Reports, the price was $27,681. Not that all or any of
these online car shopping tools, actually sell cars but their expertise is very helpful to someone shopping for a vehicle. Adding the Premium HDD($2376-invoice, $2670-MSRP) for no extra cost, made for a pretty fair
deal. I asked Mr. Dill what I needed to do to see if Toyota would build the car. (He had told me he wasn't sure if Toyota would build the car with my preferences.) Mr. Dill then asked for a $1000 deposit, (making
no mention that the deposit was non-refundable and I was never told that fact until I refused to purchase the car that was not what had been offered). I then gave the $1000 deposit(by credit card over the phone),
which Mr. Dill told me it could be 4-5 weeks before he would know about the car. Some weeks later, Mr. Dill called me to let me know that Toyota had received the order and would be building the car. Then,
after considerable time, Mr. Dill called me to tell me the car had arrived. When I get there to pick up my car, it doesn't have the Premium HDD system. After quite a bit of discussion, I asked Mr. Dill for my deposit of
$1000 back, to which he replied, "That ain't gonna happen." Only then did he tell me the deposit was non-refundable. I had even previously asked him while speaking to him on the phone, what would happen with
the deposit, in case the car wasn't right. His response was to guffaw and say "Ah, Mr. Shepherd, you're being so negative, you've got to think positive man." Shortly after I had given the deposit, I began to be
concerned because Mr. Dill, nor any one else at Serra would reply to emails I sent, asking for information as to what options were actually ordered. I had repeatedly, on the phone and by email, asked Mr. Dill to
give me a detailed, itemized list of what they had ordered, which he never did. His only reply, "Mr. Shepherd, we have ordered exactly what you want." Now, both the salesman(Tommie Dill) and his manager(Tim
Mergenthal) deny having offered the Premium HDD nav. system. Also, on the day I went to pick up the new car, Serra had my trade-in appraised and offered $4000 for it. Tim Mergenthal called me a few days later,
saying he would like to work 'this' out. He, at this time denied offering the Prem. HDD, and now made this offer: Lowered the price on the new car from $30,266 to $28,484, a decrease of $1782, and he said that
Mr. Dill had become aware that my trade-in was in worse shape than when appraised earlier, so the offer for my trade-in went from $4000 to $2000. And there still is no Prem. HDD as was definitely offered but
which both Tommie Dill and Tim Mergenthal choose to deny. I have several emails that I had sent to Serra, only to get no reply, or receive incomplete messages, generic equipment information on a different vehicle,
and other useless data. Phone calls from Mr. Dill to me also seemed intended to be non-informative, as indicated by his response, mentioned earlier,"We have ordered exactly what you want." This has the
appearance of being a bait and switch scheme from the beginning, to me.
Serra Toyota Service Department is the worst
The Service Department doesn't take your calls, the hold time is 15 minutes. When the service guy finally comes on the phone, he is extremely rude, because he wants to shut the shop and go home.
This is the worst experience at Serra Toyota. Would recommend to stay away from them.
They advertise the service specials but they don't have the staff to handle customers. Toyota should train the service center employee in how to manage customer relations.

Mr. Dolli got upset when I said I was going to continue researching prices.
He asked if I didn't want to deal with him because he was from Pakistan! Then said "you better get used to dealing with us". I was so pissed I couldn't talk to him. I went directly to the sales manager and told him he should be more careful about who he hires.
I won't go back! Ever!
