I believe to be a scam site
- - 28-day free trial auto-renewed at 29.99/month.
- - No checkout proof; charged after expiry; cancellation occurred; no email proof.
Still can't get a refund and no real proof they cancelled my membership because they did not send me an email. May have to close my card.
What I ordered was two turbo handheld fans. Not anything that would constitute a large monthly payment in order to continue to get their goods. Usually, I read when I'm checking out, and I saw nothing about a membership. I just got charged 29.99 since the 28 days had expired.
I asked for them to return my money as I did not know about it. I asked for proof on any page in their check out that shows that there is a membership. They did not want to give me any of that information. They just told me to go to their website.
Which, of course, could be written at any time after purchasing the goods. They would not refund my money. They did cancel the membership, but I did ask for an email proving that they canceled my membership and providing information stating they would not charge any more money on my credit card. They said they would do that, but as of now, I have not seen one and I have checked my spam folder.
Please be careful when you're ordering anything from selectbasics.com and don't order from them or be sure that you know that they are going to charge you unless you "cancel" your membership.
This was a total scam if I ever saw one. I wish I knew who to report them to.
