We rsvped for a pet friendly home in Sedona, but after we paid in full, we were told it was not pet friendly and that they would keep our $2500 and not allow us to stay in the vacation home in Sedona. Had to file a dispute with our bank.

I hope we get our money back.

THis company is a total rip off. Stay away from them.Do

You cannot cancel a reservation unless you purchase a "cancellation waiver"

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is a first...when you go to complete your booking there is a small box that states "Cancellation Waiver". You cannot click the box to get more information, it simply is a box with a fee, in my case, $275.

We of course did not click the box because it would add an additional $275 to our charges plus when you click the box you get no information anyway.

After you complete the booking THEN they send you information that your booking is 100% not refundable UNLESS you go and purchase this cancellation waiver. The most deceptive advertising in terms of booking that I have ever seen...remember...you have to purchase a cancellation waiver in order to get your money back even if you try to cancel the next day as in our case, stay away from this company.

Cons:
  • Deceptive rental agreement

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Never use this company, stick with the other guys that offer a free cancellation within a given time frame, that is reasonable, this company refused to assist even though I called the next day even though I never even signed the rental agreement.

Sedona.org ripped off our family

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

SEDONA.ORG RIPPED OFF OUR FAMILY.

We paid this no-name company $3,300 in full for four nights at one of their rental properties in Sedona, AZ

State of CA, State of AZ, and Federal Stay at Home Orders and the Coronavirus prohibited us from traveling - by no choice of our own. It was against the law.

My husband had also contracted the Coronavirus and was in the hospital three weeks prior - yet they refused to give us a refund. Even though leaving to AZ was against the law. The other well- known companies like Airbnb in the same business are issuing refunds - but not these guys. Theyre greedy, rude and extremely unprofessional.

Dont use this place - youll be sorry.

February 2020: Our family made reservations with Sedona.org to stay at 105 Sycamore Rd. in Sedona, Arizona for spring break. Sedona.org does short term rentals like Airbnb.com and VRBO.com. We found them randomly while browsing the Internet.

We were hesitant to use an off-brand company wed never heard of before, but went ahead anyway. We never imagined what a nightmare it could/would become. We prepaid the entire amount for four nights (April 5-9, 2020): $3,220.91.

EARLY MARCH 2020: My husband contracted the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and had to be hospitalized. He was extremely sick and needed the assistance of a respirator.

It was a scary, desperate time.

March 12, 2020: President Trump instructed all U.S. residents to avoid all unnecessary travel.

MARCH 17: Our County (Orange County, CA) implemented a "Mandatory Lockdown". We were notified that we weren't permitted to leave our homes except for local shopping and medical visits. Elective travel was not permitted.

We were advised "Violation of these Orders is subject to fine, imprisonment, or both. (California Health & Safety Code Section 125)

Other lodging providers extended an Extenuating Circumstances Policy" with special regard to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Verbiage is as follows: "Reservations made on or before March 14, 2020 for stays and with a check-in date between March 14, 2020 and April 14, 2020, will be covered by this Extenuating Circumstances Policy and may be canceled before check in. Guests who cancel will receive a full refund.

All service fees shall also be refunded."

This situation is ongoing and we hope other methods will help us get our money back. Further research has exposed really upsetting information/photos about one of the individuals weve had to work with from Sedona.org, including disgusting online photos, gay bashing and drunken profane behavior. (Photos provided upon request.) We're worried that this company (especially after the Coronavirus pandemic) won't be in business even if we wanted to work with them again. At this point, because of their unprofessional behaviors, we aren't wiling to work with them in any capacity.

Several factors have convinced us to feel that they're shady and untrustworthy. We think theyre not refunding peoples money because they want to keep it all before they close their doors. Why else?

Weve filed a dispute with our credit card company, a complaint with the County if Coconino/Coconino Board of Supervisors, the AZ Attorney Journal, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, The State Arizona Department of Real Estate, and any other entity that might be able to help us. Everyone should know what a terrible, greedy company this is.

We've lost $3,200 - and are devastated.

They've kept our money - WHY? It's not right. We got NOTHING for our hard-earned $3,200. Now, we won't be able to have ANY vacation or use that money for other bills.

DO NOT USE SEDONA.ORG - either to book a reservation or represent your property for rental.

They've refused to give our family our money back even though it's the right thing to do. And treated us horribly during the entire thing and made a really scary time even worse - and they could care less.

They've bullied us. Theyve made a really terrible time in our lives even worse.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

DON'T LET THEM DO THE SAME THING TO YOU!
