SupporterPoor customer service and overall service quality
We were previously clients of Entrust. Last year, Entrust was acquired by Sectigo, and our VMC certificate was supposed to be migrated to them.
However, although Sectigo does not issue VMC certificates directly and relies on DigiCert instead, they provided no technical guidance on how to create a new certificate.
After several attempts to contact their support to understand the process, we were told that we needed to provide a company profile on the Yellow Pages website as proof of our business. This was surprising, as Yellow Pages is not a government entity or a trusted verification authority.
As a result, we decided not to proceed with Sectigo and instead purchased our certificate from ssl.com.
Unfortunately, the situation did not end there. We requested a refund via live chat and were informed that refunds could only be processed through a support ticket, which we then submitted.
After two weeks with no refund issued, we contacted them again and were promised that the refund would be processed within 3-7 business days. Once again, no refund was issued.
Only after our third attempt were we finally able to receive the refund.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Be aware of the lack of support
