DR650 COMFORT SEAT KIT PROBLEM
- - Discolouration on the side seat panel; red marker bleeds outside.
- - Support refused responsibility and offered a replacement seat cover for $50.
Carefully inspect product upon receipt and get customer service from dealer/retailer using their return / refund policies... this company has horrible customer service.
Impasse so far... company claims to never use red marker on their seat covers despite kit was in original packaging and the number written on the inside of the seat cover was the product number.
I installed the seat kit today and when mounting on my bike I noticed a discolouration on the side seat panel of the seat cover, a number in reverse... It was only noticeable in direct sunlight.
I pulled the seat cover and saw an number written in red marker on the inside surface, the product number...
this had bled through to the outside surface of the seat cover.
I need a solution to this problem, this was an expensive kit and I'm not happy with this...

In the end, after email exchanges with customer support, they did not accept responsibility for the red marker even though the seat kit was in it's original packaging and the number in question was the product number of the seat kit. They claim they never use red marker...
There was an offer to sell me a replacement seat cover for $50, a steep discount according to them...
My suggestion to future customers is to inspect every seat carefully upon delivery so you can use the dealer's return and refund policy and not count on good customer service from Seat Concepts.
