I booked my room for July about a month ago at Sea mist ocean front resort. They took my deposit out of my account.
But now their website is shut down and I can’t get in touch with anyone there. I have tried several different numbers with no luck. I have been calling for almost a week now.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else know what is going on ?

On June 26, 2022 we arrived at Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC expecting to get the apartment described when we booked it. The description was for a room/apartment with a "resort view", 2 king sized beds, 2 double beds and a murphy bed.
It was also supposed to have amenities such as silverware, dishes, cookware, etc. Our room was at the back of a small building, facing a street of dumpy apartments. Nowhere near the resort itself. The main shower did not work, the dishwasher, toaster and some stove burners did not work, there weren't any trashcans or silverware in the entire place and the beds were horribly uncomfortable.
We told them about all this the first night. We told them again on the 2nd day. for our entire 6 night stay they didn't fix anything, or try to move us to a room that was as had been described. The only thing they did was bring us silverware.
Neither would they refund our money. We barely got any sleep due to the uncomfortable beds, the horrible, noisey location and spent the whole time with all these things not working. They ruined our vacation.
Even the waterpark isn't as it looks in their photo's, there aren't any restrooms on the beach and the outside showers from the beach area didn't work. We were there for a week and they didn't try to fix one thing or give us the proper accomodations.

we tried staying here again because we were tokd it was new owners and so much better. It wasn't.
Can't get through on the phone before coming in. Get there and room was ready but I had to cometely cleaned it myself prior to the kids and us coming in because there was sand dirt dust mold and so on. I couldn't get anyone on the phone to change rooms. Was told at desk that's the only room and if we left there is no refunds so I started cleaning.
Couldn't get toilet paper until ten hours later. Had to go get it myself. Who knows if we brought home anything. The pools are broken and cracked and cloudy.
No bathrooms around pools..ugh...the trash im the drains of the pools omg and was there for days. The staff is rude. The lady in arcade didn't help when machines malfunction she said owell nothing she can do. Wouldn't let me pay for 10 points and told me I had to win tickets but didn't have change.
So had to add another 20 just so my kid could get something because they had nothing but suckers in 300 and under tickets. I had already spent 60 dollars.
I didn't think the resort could get any worse but it has. It needs to shut down..I was just looking for a clean room clean pool and nice area to take my kids and nothing couldn't even get that

The family village they put us in is absolutely disgusting. The sink had old food in it, the stove was filthy.
Floors were disgusting!! Tvs dont work, lamps dont work..
phones dont work. Literally nothing!!

Nice trip except for no housekeeping
We had 1 person stop by to give us towels and to change our trash. Theres 5 of us in our family and they bring us 4 towels and wash clothes.
We paid from Wednesday to Monday morning. That is kind of ridiculous. Best trip was the ocean.
The phones in the rooms dont work. Theres mold on the ceilings.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT SEA MIST RESORTS.
BUYER'S BEWARE!!!!!
We want to make a complaint about this disastrous trip that we took to Sea Mist Resort and we think they need to be investigated thoroughly because they have Smelly Moldy rooms, outdated Tv's, Outdated furniture, Rusted Refrigerators. I also have pictures of Broken Furniture, Dirty Corroding Windows, Filthy Elevators, Holes in walls, and even broken stoves. We drove all the way down from New York City to experience this type of disaster and we demand a full refund. Please send someone there to investigate about this situation and type of business that they are running. This type of business they are running only makes Myrtle Beach a bad experience for people who book at this resort especially because what they advertised is nothing like what you see in reality. I am totally disgusted and disappointed with my experience staying at this resort and this needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. And im thinking of bringing a lawsuit against them and they refuse to answer the phone which is totally unprofessional. This was a total Disaster to spend almost $700 Dollars to stay in a hotel recognized as a 3- Star hotel Resort, I see they have so many complaints on Google that it is pathetic even a couple that went down there the same day as us and they also had the same complaints to the point where they had to leave at Midnight because of roaches running around that same night and was still charged for one night and they didnt recieve a full refund. Please contact me at I would love to bring a class action lawsuit against these people because i drove hundreds of Miles from New York City to spend time with my family and have fun.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS EVER AGAIN!!

So dissapointed
We stayed at the Sea Mist Oceanfront hotel in myrtle beach VA. It was the 2nd BAD experience.
What FLOORED me is we were in contact with a guest services employee. SHe said the next time we came after the bad experience 2 years ago, to let her know when we came back ,,, she'd have a gift for us.
She NEVER made any attempts to meet us or deliver this gift and when we had worse trouble this time, nothing was done to say " we are sorry". I asked for an additional night on them but of course I was told they would add a night the next time we came but we are never going back.
