I purchased First Shield Trio for my dog at Pet Hospital. The Dr. On staff applied the first month's dosage. Since that, my dog scratched more often. I went back 2 weeks later to ask for a refund and same Dr. Told me to give it time and tried to get me to buy unrelated services for my dog. I then applied the 2nd month's dosage before the time was due to see if it would work, but my dog kept scratching. Finally, I bathed my dog myself and...

Anonymous So I worked at Banfield for 6yrs, I'm no longer there. I absolutely hate topical flea preventions, but if I did have to use one, firstshield would definitely be the only one. ...

Would you let your...

I went to Banfield and purchased First Shield Trio, which has the exact same active ingredients as Advantix II (Advantix has a higher concentrate though), my dogs were immediate relieved of fleas again. Just like a human, every animal has its of specific allergies. My large dog gets skin infections from certain shampoos, or fresh grass. Therefore, it is possible that your dog may not of been allergic to the active ingredients rather the...

Anonymous Did the person you talked to at Banfield, let the vet know? Was it the vet themselves who said it's fine? I would make an appt for both cats to be examined and go from there...
