I haven't had to buy a car in 10 years, because I have a subaru. I visited Schomp Subaru and found a car I liked. The perfect car. But, it wasn't in Denver yet. It was "In Transit" on their web-site. This car was perfect for what I was looking for.
So, I reserved this vehicle on 2/8 with a $500 deposit so that no one else can buy it before me. On 2/15 the sales guy calls me and tells me it will be here on Saturday 2/16 ready by Wednesday 2/20...
And this is where the problem gets worse. I reach out on 2/20, 2/21 can't get anyone to call me back, let alone answer the sales line at SCHOMP. No e-mail responses, I have no idea where to turn to get answers on this car. Finally, today on 2/27 (almost 20 days after I put down a deposit), I finally get a hold of the sales guy (cause I found his cell number on an old e-mail chain).
Guess what, they lost the keys to the car and decided to look for them (for 3 weeks!) instead of making new keys. The car is still in California! But, the real issue here is they haven't returned my calls or e-mails about this and ignored my inquiries for weeks! And I had to finally get the Sales guy on the phone to get the whole story. He should have called me the minute this news came available. I just want to buy a car! How do you expect to stay in business when this is the way you treat your customers?
I am so hurt by this experience and I don't know why anyone would work with them if this is the way they treat people.
