Paid for scan in order and got 3,090 mixed up mess!!!
- - -3,090 photos from 1954 to date scanned, order is a jumbled mess.
- - -Redo attempts with 2 DVDs stayed jumbled and low quality; cost $699.70.
The reply from scanmyphotos was to send me a 10% off coupon! Why would i want to use them again when i am still to this day trying to sort out the mixed up photos and fix the poorly scanned copies?
I sent them 3,090 photos of our lives, taken directly from my organized albums from 1954 to date. I ordered the additional service: SCAN IN ORDER.
I added index cards at the top of each section or category, according to dates, i.e., 1954...1987, 1989, 1990... Numbered, and dated per instructions. I rubber-banded each pile per instructions. What I received for $699.70 is a jumbled mess of mixed-up photos with scanned index cards nowhere close to the order the photos were given to them.
I complained, they told me they would redo, they sent 2 more DVDs of a jumbled mess. The quality is subpar. But, everything was! They do not know what they are doing, but gladly take your money!
10 years later, I am still trying to sort my messed up scanned photos.
And I am still extremely upset! Do not waste your money!

SCAN MY PHOTOS Extra Services SCAM!!
- - Photos were not numbered per specs; 1900 photos duplicate 1800's numbering.
- - I paid $900; the scans are blurry and color correction was not applied.
TERRIBLE customer service, no call backs, did not provide extra services that I paid for.
I sent my precious lifetimes worth of slides and photos to scan my photos.com. I bought the extra service to have them number my photos according to my specs.
They did not, so I got 1900 photos from one box numbered with exact same numbering as 1800 photos from the other box. I can't put them in the same file without having to rename every single photo!!! I paid extra for the color correction and I know how this is done and THEY DID NOT DO THIS. Basically they scanned in what I sent through some speed that is too fast to focus on the photos--so quality is TERRIBLE, many of the pics are blurry and if I scan them myself they are NOT.
I know how the numbering works and they did not bother. I spent $900 and got ***.
I would suggest using any other company but these guys don't even return phone calls!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
