Hardwood floors cupped on entire main floor of Saussy Burbank home
- - Floors not acclimated; installed in winter.

Flooring inspector verified that the hardwood floors in my new home were not properly acclimated to the home, as they were installed in the dead of winter, with no running HVAC. The first 5 months were fine, but the floors severely cupped in June-July, and are somewhat better now, but cupped and permanently damaged.
The builder acknowledged that they install floors in homes before the HVAC is running, but claims the cupping is "normal", it's standard practice, and not covered by the 3rd party builder's warranty they purchased for the home.
