SATA and MyTrip eventually refunded the money I had paid them, 77 days after I asked for a refund. I ended up having to spend some $500 more to book with a SATA competitor.
I am obviously not happy with SATA and will never fly with SATA. I have also filed a complaint with the Canadian Transportation Agency for compensation as the CTA can arbitrate in such matters.
We booked a flight from Toronto to Barcelona on SATA through MyTrip on June 18, 2024, to fly on November 4, 2024, arriving in Barcelona on November 5, 2024. It was paid in full immediately at the time of booking.
On July 22, 2024, we received a text from SATA that the flight had been re-scheduled for November 5, 2024, arriving in Barcelona on November 6, 2024. No reason was given, but it is assumed that it was done due to a scheduling error by SATA.
We contacted SATA to see what they could do for us to make up for their mistake, and they simply and unabashedly told us that, since we had booked through a travel agency, we needed to deal with the travel agency.
On July 26, 2024, we asked MyTrip to provide us with a refund for the flight cancelled by SATA. We followed up several times, spending countless hours, to inquire about the refund. At one time, we were told that the request for the refund had been sent to SATA the day we asked for it, and that MyTrip could not issue the refund until SATA approved it.
On September 13, 2024, we received an email message from MyTrip confirming that the flight cancellations were confirmed, and that once the airline approved the refund, they would issue the refund. Hmmm... we thought that was done on July 26, 2024, when we first requested it, as they had stated!
On October 11, 2024, we received another email message from MyTrip advising that they had processed the refund and that it would take several more days before the credit would show up on our account.
Later, on October 11, 2024, we finally received our refund. Total time elapsed from refund request to refund completion - 77 days. Still no apology from either company!
Conclusion - these companies charge the full amount for trips months and months down the road. The airline messes up. Rather than issuing a prompt refund with an apology for their mistake, these organizations collude with each other to hold onto the customer's money as long as they can, effectively taking an interest-free loan from the customers shamelessly! Unless you don't mind being taken advantage of like this, I recommend avoiding these two crooked organizations.

I live in Cedar Key, Florida. We have been hit by hurricane "Helene", which has left the town devastated.
we've been in the process of cleanup, now another hurricane "Milton" is going to hit us again. Helene left us with a storm surge of over nine feet. Milton is projected to be similar. Is it possible to refund my ticket, or let me substitute the ticket for a future date?
I'm not "pissed Off", I'm just having trouble finding a source to communicate with your airline.
My wife is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. We both would like to recommend SATA to her co workers, and our friends.

No one has called me back. I left a message and no one has reached me back.
I spent lots of money on long distance. They told me to leave a message. Im still waiting for them to call me back. Im very upset.
I paid $3000 for two tickets to easels And now theyre telling me that I have no check in luggage. I cant believe that Sata is doing this to us.

I have a booking to go to Horta, Faial Azores. I was told that there is no check in baggage on both mine and my husbands ticket.
Im very upset with this because I paid over 3,000 American dollars for two bade tickets!!
Ive been a customer for over 38years and never had a problem with Sata. I need to buy two check in baggage for I and my husband, booking # 4WZ3QZ user Vargas
Delay
Our flight was delayed over six hours. Nothing was offered not even a reason for the delay.
When we finally showed up for the flight, a flight attendant told us the reason.
The company offer nothing to make up for the six hours delayed and no one will pick up the phone when I call. Ive been calling for over three days and Im hold to speak with someone for over 30 minutes each time
