Resolved: Not happy with smelly harness and set
- - Hippity Hoppity harness has a neoprene smell; I'm allergic to rubber.
- - Washing and airing did not remove odor; I will return the set and seek refund.
Have been going round and round with Brittany, hence the low star rating. I wrote earlier to find out how to deal with the overpowering neoprene smell.
Your new hippity hoppity harness set REEKS OF NEOPRENE. I AM HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO RUBBER PRODUCTS, as in anaphylactic shock. Not only will my pup not get near the stinky harness, leash or *** bag holder, I Cannot be near them, smell them or TOUCH THEM! I had to put a mask and rubber gloves on to deal with them.
Brittany told me to wash them. I soaked them for 2 days. As soon as they dried, the smell was back. Then I put it all out in the windy air for an entire day. They still reek of neoprene! Next was Fabreeze fabric spray. As soon as it dissipated, back was the smell. I simply cannot tolerate this noxious, toxic smell.
Our Anna has a Posey outfit from you. It does not smell at all and she wears it a lot.
Therefore, I will be returning the entire Hippity Hoppity set. I love this print and wanted to have it for our new puppy Sam for Easter parade. So very disappointed...Why do you use neoprene on a dog harness, anyway???
Most dogs dressed up in your harnesses are not swimmers or divers. They are family dogs on walks. Whoever made this new harness went OTT on the neoprene!!! I wanted to talk to someone about this but you are not contactable by phone.If I am past the 30 day return window, it is because I was TRYING to get rid of the smell and use the set! I've sent numerous emails dealing with this and other issues.
Such a very nice looking set. Too bad you had to make it out of rubber, of all things!!!
PLEASE REFUND MY PURCHASE PRICE TO MY CREDIT CARD! Enuf is enuf already. The rubbery smell is not gonna go away ...
